if someone is playing in 1.12.2 (2.4.3 mod version), u would to do another way. U will get the bound sword through alchemy array (binding), using a binding reagent later a diamond sword. My explanation was bad, but if u have `jei` mod becomes easy or seach how to do for you mod version

Don't know if this helps anyone or not but I had sewing machine oil on hand because I use that to clean my beard trimmer. Seemed to work just fine on my fan as well
