I bin thinking about this here in the northeast. We’ve had more than our share of heat and humidity so far this summer. But we’ve also had a lot of hot days with a good breeze or wind. Really helps in the clearer quarry lakes around here.

Great guest and video ! Very good insights on safety at night . Years ago I had a near miss after midnight with a float tuber that was out in the middle of a small lake with no lights of any kind on . Luckily I was slowly crossing a lake arm to the opposite bank and not on pad maybe going 5-7 MPH . with my nav lights on when I was just about on him he turns a flash light on at the last second and starts yelling , I had to swerve hard to miss him . IDIOT ! I said to myself .

I fish a lake that has Blue back but there is no grass or trees. Just man made brush piles & silt. Years ago a spinner bait was juice but anymore the bait has to be dragged through a brush pile or rock pile to even get a bite after sunset. The herring were introduced along with spotted bass 12 to 15 years ago but it’s easily the hardest lake you will ever fish if you want to catch a bass over 3lbs. What’s funny is that there are 7+ pretty heavy. Just extremely shy about everything a fish can be.

You don't want them in lanier or any other lake in georgia! I wish they didn't stock stripped bass in lanier !! Large mouth bass man!! Bass fishing..That's cool if you want muskies. Take your ass up north!! It will destroy the spotted bass and largemouth fishing. It's not a great idea. Georgia, DNR please do not do that in georgia !! Lol that's crazy 🤪
@philliphutcheson421913 күн бұрын
Lanier has been ruined by spotted bass and anglers that stocked them there. Same with most other lakes in Georgia. They out compete the other bass species such as smallies and even largemouth and shoal bass and hybridize with them as well sometimes. We definitely should have musky in Blue Ridge and Nottley as that is their natural range. Why not go south so you can catch bass and let the fish that are native come back? Seems like a fair trade off as we’d both get what we wanted at that point.
@prolificfishing481813 күн бұрын
@philliphutcheson4219 You are absolutely rite about the spotted bass!! I have seen a lot of cross breeding in some electric only northern ga lakes! Not far from where I live! Great, the brown trout in the hooch ! Awesome. I'm not arguing with you, man!! They are apex predators. Maybe we should bring grizzly bear to north as well! Definitely interesting, man.
@philliphutcheson421913 күн бұрын
@@prolificfishing4818 it’s funny you mention grizzly. They actually extended into middle Arkansas at the time of the Louisiana Purchase back in the 1800’s. Hell we used to have wolves, elk and even bison here. Course long before you or I were here. Same things with the upland game birds such as quail & grouse. Georgia DNR hasn’t done much for the native species aside from let them dwindle to nothing. At the same time, invasive species like the spotted bass or even brown trout have replaced them for one reason or nother. It’s up to us to work with DNR and get’em back

Just for some possible assistance in the future. They make toilet seats that snap onto a 5 gallon bucket. Idk where you’re gonna keep a 5 gallon bucket in a bass boat but that’s a problem you’re gonna have to solve on your own. There’s always a bucket in the catfish boat. Then all you gatta have is toilet paper and some Lysol to rinse the bucket out with.

Would it be possible to put a longer video explaining everything from beginning to end before I go spending all this moneyon possibly buying Dakota lithium batteries for both of my boats the information will be greatly appreciated

You need to ask L.J. that question. I believe he will say 2D doesn't affect the fish. I have been on the boat with L.J. and he is a "PRO" with 2D! I would sit back and watch L.J. (Lanier Jim) calling the shots as spotted bass would eat directly under the 2D transducer!
@cliff142224 күн бұрын
@@jasonclauss267 I actually own LJs previous boat and have been out with him. I think you are right on 2D when fishing deeper. I don't honestly think the sonar in general plays a huge part. I just know when you hold your ear to a live 2D transducer you can hear it clicking. You can't on a FFS ducer

He's sponsored by X2, he mentions X2 multiple times. X2 marketing directly out of his mouth. Multiple lies (or giving benefit of doubt, they make multiple untrue statements that are fear based). You won't burn your boat up, you won't get stranded because a BMS decides to shut things down while running (unless you have a problem that would also need to shut down a non-lifepo4 battery but non-lifepo4 batteries don't have that intelligence), If you want to use bad info to continue using heavy batteries that need to be replaced any time they get fully depleted, don't have a constant power curve, etc., go ahead. But don't say this guy isn't influenced with his messaging.
