Completed 2 acts of Dragon Quest XI Definitive blabla and stopped, game felt like a chore too much. But I played with max battle speed set in settings (I imagine it was 2x speed and I imagine they added that in Definitive version). Seeing that Erik's attack makes me feel like you are playing on a slow mode xD Farming must be suffering at speed like that

Correct your statement and say "to Cold Steel" cause I'd argue Rean is one of the better parts about it when you finally get to more of his character arc. Cold Steel in general is just written like ass, glad it's over because the latest games SEEM to be a bit better. I still gotta play them though.

@@Zephhi i thats excessive cold steels problem is its pacing nothing happens untill the last chapter but the inbetween is filled with fun character interaction to somewhat justify a 7/10 rating because in relation to other jrpgs cold steel is just leagues above

i feel like there should be a universal rule in any jrpg that instant kill spells have less priority over any other move even if the enemy speed stat is higher than the player’s it’s almost never fun imo
