@@mobilejahkuzzi Yes, I think they would be very good in this application. I use them like this although I use other speakers as well. They are more hi-fi sounding than Auratones (original 5c that is) and are ported so if you push them they sound great but will be limited by the small driver. Excellent as a reference in mid-hi end and good for checking if your low end is registering on smaller speakers. The single driver design is an asset as well, fast and phase accurate. And if you know your headphones and if they are decent open backed type like Sennheiser HD650 or Beyer DT880 pros that could work well. But Remember Imanbek's remix of 'Roses' was done on cheap earbuds. But he mixed knowing their weaknesses and strengths and achieved a worlwide hit! lol.

@@mobilejahkuzzi Hi Mate, In my Opinion yes! When your Headphones good and you have nice lowend on it, so yes i think that must work! I build Up a Mixing Desk in my Home Office, in my Sudio i got all for Low End Mixing! But i wanted a cheap Solution for my Home Office, so this Speakers stand for years in a coner, so i take tham with me home and check them after many Years again! This Speakers was my first Pro Speakers i had buy! I never sell them, they unbelievable "Loud" you can't crank them Up and listen all the time, this Speakers are made for "Home like Loudness" ! When you use them, with this in Mind, you have enough backbone Power to Drive them up, when its needed in some Special Parts, you know!? You must put them right inthe 90 degree angle to your head to enjoy the full range of them! This Speakers are really nice, with a Home like Loudness they enflatten there Power! And the Sound ist Super clear, you will hear any step of Eq Changes and thats is what Speakers made great! With this one you got it!

I've got these speakers and the rare Sony SMS 2P together in the UK for under £100. The Sony SMS are awesome flat speakers for mixing.

@@nzayi6382 Wow, that's, well, inexpensive. Thanks for the review, I think I want these Sony 1P. Would you say the clarity is compromised? Distortions, or maybe they are not so fast? I understand they are single-drivered, but still, what about highs and lows? The thing is, I asked Hugh Robjohns of SoundOnSound about them, and he said they are so-so.
