@@krisstanton5736 Stating minimum requirement of Gold, silver, or other commodity is just a way to measure it, because in the old days they didn't have paper currency and the weight of the coins was different from time to time. If the money you have is equal or more to the value of 85 grams of Gold, and that amount stayed in your account for a full lunar year, then it's qualified for Zakat. Once you know that it is qualified for Zakat, you calculate based on the money you have. If you have $100000 you pay 2.5% of that ($2500).

11:45 exactly, you gotta be careful. If you are dealing with muslims educated about their religion then the zakat that they ask for and you give them should be given and taken with good faith. And both sides should not overstep and must remain patient. So from the perspective of the individual asking for it, he must be vigilant in not allowing a dependance mindset to develop. He must realize that he needs to do his best to try and make his own way. And he must also be willing to sacrifice. So for example, he might need the zakat, but out of a sense of not wanting to burden his muslim brother, he decides he will make do until he absolutely cannot.

New Muslim converts do have a right to have a portion of Zakat, that's in the Quran. It's what Allah said, not something Muslims came up with on their own. Many new Muslim converts need this. Some of them are thrown out of their homes by their families for converting to Islam. Some lost their jobs or wealth. These people need the support of the community financially too. It's also a means to alleviate the pressure on them to go back to their previous life before Islam.

Using a loophole to not pay Zakat and trying to deceive Allah (SWT)? Well. To those who go that route I say to them: "Enjoy Hell". 😂😂 Not paying zakat is basically stealing from the poor. Allah sees everything and knows everyone's heart.
@YouBuyWeRush3 күн бұрын
Asalamualikum brother or sister (not sure your gender). I just wanted to say that telling those who use loopholes to not pay zakat and that they should enjoy hell is not appropriate because only Allah knows who will go to hell or heaven. The person who tried to decieve Allah and not pay zakat could've repented before they died and their repentence could have been accepted. The most that I would say to someone who is using loopholes to not pay zakat is this: stop doing what you are doing brother. You cannot deceive Allah and by witholding money from the poor you are destroying your wealth. Please repent and let's all strive to be better. Or something like that lol. May Allah bless you brother/sister.
@mhosni863 күн бұрын
@@YouBuyWeRush I think there is a misunderstanding here. First, I was talking figuratively. I would never actually go to a Muslim and tell them that they're going to Hell. Only Allah knows that. I would just warn them of it. Second, withholding Zakat is a major sin. And people who withhold Zakat and die without repenting and if Allah doesn't forgive them, they will go to Hell. Third, Denying that the Zakat is Fardh (obligatory) is Kuffr (disbelief). Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (R.A.) waged war against people who refused to pay the Zakat.

It was narrated from Hudhaifah bin Yaman that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Islam will wear out as embroidery on a garment wears out, until no one will know what fasting, prayer, (pilgrimage) rites and charity are. The Book of Allah will be taken away at night, and not one Verse of it will be left on earth. And there will be some people left, old men and old women, who will say: “We saw our fathers saying these words: ‘La ilaha illallah’ so we say them too.” Silah said to him: “What good will (saying): La ilaha illallah do them, when they do not know what fasting, prayer, (pilgrimage) rites and charity are?” Hudhaifah turned away from his. He repeated his question three times, and Hudhaifah turned away from him each time. Then he turned to him on the third time and said: “O Silah! It will save them from Hell,” three times.

Allah knows best but one of the wisdoms I think that Allah legislated prayer to be the way it is with minimal room for interpretation is so that every single thing can be preserved generation after generation. You know how easy it is for ways and styles and methods to change. For example, if you look at the roaring 20’s in America, the way culture was and how people were is completely different than today. However, 1446 years later the prayer remains exactly the same with little room for interpretation. I can also comfortably bet that if Allah wills for the world to continue for the next 2000+ years the prayer in islam would remain the same until Allah decrees otherwise I remember reading that towards the end times as people get more and more evil and religion is slowly discarded, that the islamic prayer will be one of the last things to go. Eventually it will get to the point that a person will say La Illa Ha Ill Allah meaning “there is no God but Allah”. Other people will ask them what does that mean? And they will say “we saw our father saying those words” i’m actually gonna post the entire narration in another comment

5:28 if you are not sitting properly it might or might not negate your prayer. It all depends on intention. Like for example, if you cannot physically sit the way shown in the video then you do the best you can. For example, sick people in their hospital beds just pray the entire prayer laying down. Or a person in a wheelchair just has to pray sitting

Most things he explains in this video are optional and leaving them doesn't invalidate or negate the prayer. The things that would invalidate the prayer if not done properly are the things he explained in the video that was 2 days ago (The beginners prayer for New Muslim).
@mhosni865 күн бұрын
You can recite any chapter, or a part of a chapter, can be a small part no problem. The first chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha) is mandatory for every cycle (7 verses). After that, you can choose any chapter or part of a chapter.
@mhosni865 күн бұрын
The small things like moving the finger in a certain way while sitting, or placing the feet a certain way, all that is optional, not a mandatory part of the prayer. So, no, not doing them would not negate the prayer. It would be fine. They're not essential. and doing it wrong (unintentionally) would not invalidate the prayer. Your intention here matters. You do what you can. As for the meaning behind them aside from being just what the prophet did, I think a scholar who studied more in depth may know more than us in that subject.

15:20: exactly. And just to clarify, the differences he is talking about in prayer are nothing crazy other or major. Fundamentally, every single muslim prays the same. But there might be tiny differences in the way the person might, for example, place their hands while standing. Some people might place their hands closer to their chest while others might place their hands closer to their stomach. Another example could be some of the supplications a muslim can recite while sitting. I like to switch between a supplication which asks God to make it easy for me in this life and the next as well as a supplication in which I ask God to forgive my shortcomings and my families shortcomings. I alternate between the two supplications. I might say the first one in the morning prayer and then the second one in the evening prayer

The messenger of Allah (Pbuh) said: "Pray how you see me pray." So, every move we do in the prayer is how it is reported by the companions how the prophet prayed. The 5 obligatory daily prayers: 1- Fajr (Dawn) = 2 cycles 2- Dhuhr (Noon) = 4 cycles 3- Asr (Afternoon) = 4 cycles 4- Maghreb (Sunset) = 3 cycles 5- Ishaa' (Evening) = 4 cycles They must be exactly like that. No less, no more. That's how the prophet (Pbuh) taught us they should be. There are other optional prayers, most of which consist of 2 cycles (with a few exceptions).
