My quest for the proof of Arrow's Impossibility Theorem ends here :) It's surprising how so many advanced books have just peddled around Condorcet paradox as a proof of Arrow's theorem. Thanks for making this video

Why should we think that preferences are intrinsic and essential to persons? We shouldn't, why? Suppose that bob is a socialist, here, bob prefers gouvermental regulations over laissez faire policies, now suppose bob was presented to a proof for laissez faire capitalism and bob is convinced by that proof,as a result, bob became a laissez faire capitalist, hence bob prefer laissez faire over regulations. We conclud,it's possible (sometimes) preferences depend on how people think about things. Now,suupose bob was presented with a powerfull argument, and bob still assessing the argument, now we can see that due to the lack of information, bob has no preference, which's our first conclusion.

But a choice is under a person's control,thus it's a act,now suppose that person is x and x is rational,now suppose x had choosen y over g at t-1,now suppose we're at t contemplating x's choice,that's x's act,can we say that x's choice which was under x's control and x is rational,is irrational (x's choice is irrational),it seems not.

why we have to multiple the price effect DpX(p,w) with dp ?

Dp tells us how x changes when p changes by one unit. But p might not always change by one unit. So if we multiply a given change in p with Dp it tells us the corresponding change in x (dx).
