Dorney Park is an Overlooked Great American park with a Lot of history most don't know about, I'm from the area and seen a lot that this park has gone through the Decades. The 1968 Movie: Where Angels Go Trouble Follows shows Dorney Park in the movie for about 4 minutes in one of the scenes as well as 1988 Hairspray Boardway movie starring: Ricki Lake takes place in a few scene Dorney Park. In 1901 Dorney Park had the Largest Swimming Public Pool in all of the United States the 650,000 gallon pool was sadly closed in 1985 and Zoo. Most people even of the area don't know Dorney Park and many others were built Not as an Amusement Park at first as they were originally built by the Trolley Companies to get people to ride the Trolley on the weekends as at each end of the Line a Park was built for that reason. Dorney Park was first a Fish Hatchery Not an Amusement Park as most think.
