Nonsense making something of psychological issues for Leinster and not Saints, it's a semi.... ???!!! If Saints keep it tight to let psychological aspects to kick in, they lose. They have to score fast and continuously throughout because a tight game is Leinster experience to win.

The little smile on your face when you ask if quins can beat tolouse says a lot more than the words following haha. We go with a fools hope, but hope.

I think in France the common view on the ubb harlequins is that ubb shat the bed by nit showing up in the first 15 minutes than a massive quins performance. Besides ubb is known for having the deadliest backs in top 14 but a very average forward pack. So when they win, they will make you look very very silly, because penaud bielle biarey or tambwe will score tries for fun but they are not à complete team at least not just yet. Toulouse is à different beast altogether. It doesn't mean, of course, that they are already qualified, but i don't think they will make the same mistakes or show the same weaknesses as ubb did. If they are to win this one, harlequins will have to show more than they did in the quarter final. Do they have it in them, only time will tell. Still it should be a great game of rugby, may the best team win
@somenamethatdoesntmatter17 сағат бұрын
@@clementbatut4053 Yeah and obviously it was quins vs no jalibert or penaud which is for a team that relys on no backs, is not a great look. Quins will turn up and try to score out the blocks and if they dont get tries early, their confidence could wane. But basically i see this going two ways: a very tight game to the last minute or an absolute beat down by toulouse, talking Toulouse 60 - 35 with quins clawing most of that back in the last 20 minutes to make it almost respectable. UBB were mentally rocked a few times, but clearly felt like they would win in the end, where as toulouse seem experienced enough not to know they will win, but to know they HAVE to Make the win happen and know they can. small but key difference.
@user-zj9zx1ny6iКүн бұрын
I think Quins will get battered. Toulouse beat them 47-19 at the stoop in group stages and the beating will probably be worse in France. I can see Northampton keeping it close for 60 but unfortunately think Leinster will prove be too strong. Hopefully I am proven wrong cuz would love an all English final but doubt it.
@davidwalker2402Күн бұрын
I would expect Leinster to win but it will be very close. Northampton are a really good side with plenty of form . 1 or 2 scores . It will be a bad day for Leinster if they lose this one, 80,000 fans will show what world rugby is missing out on by bypassing Ireland to hold a WC..

It's going to be a funny one for me this year. I'm a Leinster fan but have been living in England for the last 12 years or so. My adopted team is Saints, I've been up to watch them a few times this year and my son plays in minis rugby festivals up at Franklin's Gardens. So I think I'll be going for both teams. I just think Leinster will be too strong. Can't wait though.

Regards hosting the semi outside of Dublin, there’s also Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork city, hosts approx 40k, Munster played Crusaders there back in February. Could have been an ideal venue.

From a Leinster man, I would not rule out the Saints, they play an impressive style of rugby and are great finishers, should without doubt be a great semi. I think Leinster should have enough to take the win. Toulouse v Quinns, I can only see Toulouse taking this one comfortably by two scores. Both Toulouse and Leinster have 9 Champions cups won, with Toulouse winning 5 and Leinster 4, they know how to get past the post and it is not easy.

From a Leicester man who can’t stand Leinster as you guys can’t just let us win in recent years and saints are the local loud little neighbours… I wouldn’t put money on either team to win and it’s going to be a great game!

Scrums are part of the charm of the game. Eliminating them would be lunacy. Timing the scrums and lineouts is the answer if your opinion is that they are time wasters As far as South Africans being paranoid about the rule changes. You bet they are. It's not the fans or the players, but management for teams like England, Australia and New Zealand are flat out sore losers. And they're the ones who are doing all the bellyaching to make these changes

It is also kind of inevitable as Leinster were able to rotate their squad that went to South Africa so they will be ready for saints. Saints players had some rest during the Leicester game, but Quins Players have had none. Simply not enough money in the salary cap to afford significant depth.

There is no doubt that Libbok is the better attacking flyhalf and his overall game and line kicking is superb. He just needs more consistency when kicking for goal.
@dakalodk6 күн бұрын
That's easy to fix but he is making a big meal out of this weakeness
@Bambi1572 күн бұрын
I reckon he shouldn't kick for goal and should only focus on being a playmaker and kicking to the line
@777Hunterh7 күн бұрын
Pollard and Libbok will be the main flyhalves for 2024. Sacha and Sanele will be the next cabs of the block. With Jordan Hendrikse and Jurie Matthee probably the 10's in the next cycle. Kade Wolhuter is a great talent however very injury prone.
@kyle_22a117 күн бұрын
Pollard will be first choice in the big games. Libbok will still get plenty of games though, the more Manie plays the more composed he will become, remember he still only has 13 caps and is relatively inexperienced. Rassie got lucky in the last world cup, South Africa only really had one real fly half option for the tournament, he will want to have two good options for the next. Whoever the coaching staff think is number three in line will play against Portugal, I think it will Feinberg-Mngomezulu.

The best of Manie Libbok is yet to be seen. He's only 26 and has time and talent in spades on his side. The newer rising stars coming up will no doubt keep him on his toes, staying sharp and competitive. If he can stay fit and injury free, he'll be one of the absolute greats.

You said nothing. No stats, no real comparisons other than opinions that are completely obvious. What you should do is not give in to the social media pressure of "get as many videos out, as quickly as possible" and actually do something that benefits humanity. The irony is that me commenting is reinforcing the low quality algorithm. HUMANITY IS DEAD! and social media like this killing it.

Umm. Think everyone has missed something here. We have a new coaching team. I quote ‘Tony and Jerry bring a fresh perspective from different rugby environments and it’s lekker to hear new voices on how we’ve been doing things and how we might do them in the future,” said Erasmus’. And Brown, the former All Black flyhalf and new Springbok attack coach, said: “It’s a privilege to be involved with the Springboks and to contribute to this great set-up’. Then add the alignment camp. We started a new 4 year cycle which means the only certainty is there will be surprises. I’m going Libbok, and find a kicker. Then Lions rising from the ashes in the past gave us Marx, Sous, Lood, Kwagga and Faf, all under the spotlight players. Bodes well for Sanelle. Hey maybe Handre at centre as the kicker.
