Most dont realize that multiple things played a HUGEEEE part in the BULLS going 6-0 in Finals ..... it wasnt all because of MJ lol 1) Pips contract was a dynasty cheat code - '91 he was 7th in DPOY voting plus avgd 21.6 PPG/8.9 RPG/5.8 APG in the playoffs.... his salary was ranked 151st in the league - '96 he finished 5th in MVP voting ..... salary was ranked 74th - '97 he finished 11th for MVP ..... salary was ranked 125th - '98 he finished 10th for MVP ..... salary was ranked 122nd It allowed them to add Kukoc & Rodman when they shouldnt have been able to if he was making what he was worth .... imagine Lebron having '17 Kawhi for the mid level exception & he doesnt miss a single playoff gm for 6 years during his prime lol 2) Expansions affect on the '90s - the league added 6 expansion teams from '88-'95 at a time when the player pool wasnt anywhere close to what it is now (Dream Team/MJ/Kobe/& David Stern blew it up globally) so it spaced out/diluted teams where there werent 2-3 great teams like normal - Rodman said in '96 "this league is so filtered & watered down we can beat anyone with our eyes closed" - Bird & Jerry Sloan said in the '90s as coaches they saw the change from the '80s to the '90s where u needed 3 or 4 stars before but in the '90s could win with just 1 or 2 - not a coincidence the '70s & '90s are the only 2 decades u dont see 2 or 3 great teams making a lot of Finals ..... both decades dealt with expansion - this is why the Bulls played 5 different franchises in 6 Finals while Lebrons teams have played TWO franchises a combined SEVEN Finals (the league hasnt added an expansion team in 20 years PLUS the player pool has been getting denser & denser) - the Bulls won that last Finals with MJ avging 4 RPG & 2.3 APG (👀) & shooting 42%.... & they won in 6 gms at that lol. Bc of the competition. And thats against the only team they played twice..... Utahs 2nd best player avgd 11 PPG & 9 APG and the TEAM made 11 threes in 6 games (Magic made 40 in 4 games just a few Finals before that) 3) Luck with health of top players those 6 playoffs - MJ had Pip & Horace play every playoff game during the 1st 3 peat, then had Pip/Rodman/& Kukoc play every playoff game during the 2nd 3 peat....... meanwhile Lebrons had Wade/Bosh/Kyrie/Love/& AD alllll miss time in playoffs. Remember in the '91 playoffs Pippen had a horrible migraine in gm 7 vs Detriot so he couldnt perform.... guess what happened... they lost. I love MJ & think he had one of the most beautiful games ever to watch (more aesthetically pleasing than Lebrons) & his need to wanna win at something 24/7 may never be matched. But all these things led into the Bulls being 6-0. Along with things like MJs retirement break helping him recover after 3 straight Finals (his own words)& the fact MJ/Pip/Horace got 4 years to build chemistry before all hitting their primes together.

Jordan could be as successful if Bulls just drafted any other good players they missed over the years such as Karl Malone in 85, Rodman in 86 and Reggie in 87. Jordan didn't need Pippen specifically. Pippen OTOH woulda just been a good player instead of HOFer had he not played for Bulls alongside Jordan.

Not true whatsoever lol Pips contract was a dynasty cheat code - '91 he was 7th in DPOY voting plus avgd 21.6 PPG/8.9 RPG/5.8 APG in the playoffs.... his salary was ranked 151st in the league - '96 he finished 5th in MVP voting ..... salary was ranked 74th - '97 he finished 11th for MVP ..... salary was ranked 125th - '98 he finished 10th for MVP ..... salary was ranked 122nd It allowed them to add Kukoc & Rodman when they shouldnt have been able to if he was making what he was worth .... imagine Lebron having '17 Kawhi for the mid level exception & he doesnt miss a single playoff gm for 6 years during his prime lol

Not a genius. This is some garbage propaganda. He strings together a sophomoric speech at Berkeley talking about Foucault, Hydrogen bonds, and frogs versus dinosaurs in a stained attempt to advocate activism without actually justifying the causes in question. This is what privilege looks like: A freshman college dropout who studied "Cultural Studies and Education in Sports" (not serious academic disciplines) and calling him a genius. Just listen to his sophomoric talks in which he never makes an argument to support his claims...he just strings together non-sequiturs, and people think it sounds smart.

Yes, UC Berkeley is famous as a top university in both academics and social awareness/activism/justice/etc. UC Berkeley was a perfect fit for him. His Ph D mom probably mentioned UC Berkeley as a great place for intellectual, socially aware activists like him.

The thing I absolutely hate about this story though I do like Jaylen Brown…an athlete’s academic program is nowhere near as rigorous as a normal student and for good reason. They get many shortcuts, don’t have to take the same number of exams and gets lots of personal assistance especially if they are a star athlete. They generate far too much revenue for the school to become an academic liability, so the school will do everything in their power to make their academic program as easily as possible. This isn’t to take away anything from Jaylen Brown but his 3.9 GPA isn’t the same 3.9 GPA as a normal student. You can be the most average minded star athlete and get a 4.0 GPA in college because the college program will do everything to boost you. So we’re not on the same level playing field. I studied engineering. And I was so angry to learn about a friend who was an athlete got to take far less courses to get the same degree. We’re talking 30% less and he didn’t have to attend all the 3 hour weekly labs for each course. It’s so unfair. They get a speed run of college while we have to do the full curriculum. So please stop putting these athletes on a high horse and misinforming the masses. Athletes aren’t on the same level playing field, they are given significant advantages to succeed. A normal college student would get a 4.0 GPA on an athlete’s curriculum, it’s really nothing amazing.

It is when you are taking graduate level classes as a freshman. Jaylen knew he was one and done so he took the classes that interested him and would advance him intellectually. So you are right. Jaylen's 3.9 isn't the same as a normal student. It is much more advanced. The video mentioned his Bridge Program collaboration with MIT. The Duckboat Parade featured a bus of these students that Jaylen paid the price so they could participate. These kids are our future. Brilliance isn't the only thing these young people share with NASA's original computers. Jaylen knows these kidz will be the driving force of advancement in 20 years. You know, when he is forced to retire because his Secret Service detail thinks it's too dangerous to still be playing a kids game. LOL
