People always say Niskanen has the best classic technique but I don't think it's that black and white. It depends on the terrain and the form of the skiers. For example, in that first section in the video in Lahti, I think Bolshunov has a slightly better technique, although it is close between all of them. Also, in general I think people underrate Klaebo's technique. It's not perhaps as powerful as the other two, but it's incredibly elegant and viewed from the front, maybe the most beautiful.

Brilliant video! Let me guess what Kimberly kept improving which was very noticable to me. On the latest passes Kimberly was starting to do a little extension before here double polling which required a longer glide and better balance. Pretty impressive improvement well done. Most skiers do not realise that the V2 has three phases that overlap: extension-double polling-kick Have a pleasant day.

Can only classic skis run up hills? I have skate and I don't think I can do that

Very nice video it shows what applying power does to your glide. The three skiers have amazing technic well in balance on their skis yet the man glide much more because he is so much more powerful than the two women and so what. A Beautiful video that shows that an amazing technic will shine no matter what. ❤❤❤

It's so satisfying to see this technique. Love to use it in good conditions, the best feeling on skis. Long glide, full body usage, perfect.

V2? I've never heard it be called anything other than 1-skate before. What do you call 2-skate then?

This was my favourite technique. When conditions were good and I was in shape - then this was the most balanced effort-wise.
