I hope that the Battle cats and Rugal Bernstein are comeback but they going to invasion metal slug attack reload.

The hull texture screams "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" for me. As for the design themselves, they all look like Sajuuk from HW2, with a hint of Vasari.

Man, these designs are... absolutely UGLY: every ship seems to have the same amount of engine exhaust ports, are centered and ridiculously *SMALL* almost like they are meant to NOT MATTER (why bother putting them, then?). The torpedo frigate looks like a gunship with missile pods. The ion cannon frigate looks HW1-era that just never managed to miniaturize or refine the system (which we know from Cataclysm that the Somtaaw did; not to mention the Battlecruiser and Heavy Cruisers fielding smaller, more powerful versions of the weapon). Everything about these ship designs is downright *wrong...* and THIS is supposed to have been made by former Relic Entertainment crew who worked on the Homeworld series??

After playing the game I miss the intimidation of a cruiser.. the need to make individual resource collectors.. and most of all the sound of the beam/ion weapons. When those went off you were like oo you know that hurt. That's all gone now.

It think the problem with HW3 is the plot became about the struggle and victories of persons, rather than the struggle and victories of an entire civilization( as HW1 presented). They made Karan S'jet the main character and primary focus of the story, rather than an important, key individual who made the story possible... and yes, there is a huge difference in that.

People complaining about samey design forget that HW1 recon/interceptor, light/heavy/multigun corvette, ion/assault/drone frigate were just as hard to tell apart at first

I dont blame ya for playing on easy mode too. Good lord the damage spikes even on normal (though I got used to it and even hard mode desert is easy, though I'd just put it to normal once you get better cards to easily play/bypass defense given no quicksave). 6:55 cool dragon. I didn't get that one in playing and 11:00 Voltage she was a boss, oh useless DLC. I did notice the enemy demotions and repetitive cards. I did that chimera lab and you went through those 6 stages so fast lol

So funny that the game doesn’t even try to flesh out the incarnate, like where are they from? Where do they live? Are they human or something else? Nah they’re just self replicating androids who live on spaceships and big space stations their whole lives apparently For a story oriented IP like homeworld it’s just shocking how much they dropped the ball

The designs did grew on me especially the capital ships by the end of the game. They really updated alot of designs in lore based on the marriage of progenitor, taiidan, and higaaran/kushan tech. Hope the game adds more story content expansions which was sorely missed in Relics' Homeworld.

No subsystems and the ships look like ipads. MORE SHIPS TO COME...for a price...

The graphics are cool, but maybe they went a little too much with megastructures. This makes your mothership feel insignificant. It's one thing when you have only one Karos Graveyard in the whole campaign, but another thing when they're every mission. Like other people mentioned in the comments, the story is such a downgrade even by Homeworld 2 plot standards. The only interesting characters are actually Isaac Paktu and combat chatter. The latter I actually missed a lot. XD Kinda sad.
