@@SOLOYorkshire-biker Thanks for the reply I have already brought the scooter to a mechanic I spent 150euro, problem temporarily solved by cleaning the carburetor. but the problem reappeared shortly after without even using the vehicle .... I reassembled everything ... checked everything .. I'm getting mad to the point of considering throwing the scooter away .... thank you again, I'll try to double check

mine is a X9 Amalfi 180cc from 2001 the problem manifests itself in the cold, and the problem subsides until it disappears when the scooter reaches a temperature beyond half of the temperature gauge ... Thanks again

I had a very similar incident with an ex on the back of one of mine, in Nottingham. IThey were in the wrong lane and cut across in front of me, tapping my front wheel. Now, *apparently* dropping your missus off and chasing them down, taking off their mirror and "educating" them about following road signage is *not* the done thing. That said, i didn't get charged with anything, and the police made us write letters to each other. Which I never wrote, just sent a screenshot of the "apology file" attached to the email and an "I don't know where it's gone" reply xD "Restorative action letter" or something like that.

More likely to be the wire on top of engine that gives the reading, they come lose over time, if you take it off and tighten it, should solve your problem. X9 owners Club on Facebook if need more help

I assumed rev limiter but rev limiter kicks in higher than that, it was a leak on the inlet manifold.

Hiya matey. I'm currently having the EXACT same problem with my X9 125 - causing the engine to cut sometimes if I'm stationary or slowing down. I'm pulling my hair out trying to find out what's causing it, did you ever find out what it was? If so, please let me know! Thanks, Harry.

All these X9's are the same, I've worked on 3 and they all seem to do this, too big of a bike for a 125 engine, I reckon
@SOLOYorkshire-biker5 жыл бұрын
All the Old X9 125s had, Valves tightening problems, making for odd running, another classic was the X9s in winter they get carb icing, and any kind of air leak would cause stalling issues.

clean the gauze disk on the fuel pump thats attached to to fuel pump as its there as a breather and if clogged up you wont be getting the full amount of petrol through to carb. the fuel pump is on the left footboard and the gauze disk is attached to the underside of the fuel pump. this part when u find it should be brass in color and i bet yours will be same color as pump black. clean with a little petrol on a cloth just dab it
