Yeah they're a little better, but for the past decade Lionel's quality has deteriorated so much that this feels like celebrating over scraps. If we're now in an era where OEMs have to share CAD data with NASCAR and every car that hits the track is laser scanned in inspection to ensure uniformity then there's no reason the exclusive diecast supplier should ever be producing molds that were this far off to begin with. Maybe for the Authentics line this is ok, but for the markup that comes with the Gold and diecast chassis series it's still disappointing. When you look at what other companies outside the NASCAR space (Mini GT, Spark, etc) are able to produce for comparable prices it's pretty obvious that there either needs to be major improvements soon or another diecast manufacturer should be brought in

I hope they run this or something similar this year, it's a great scheme! I feel like there aren't a whole lot of orange paint schemes, so this one stands out nicely
