Im honestly lost on what is being promoted here in this ad? Is this a short skit for fun? Or is this promoting a product? It's very confusing and makes no sense.

for potting soil store bought one is it which option is best, clay, soil, or loam
@pascoscientific

For potting soil, we recommend using the %VWC (Loam) measurement.

Why limit image capture to 0.2 frames per second when modern, inexpensive cameras can record >24fps? Seems like a weird limitation to have. I was very interested in this product until realizing it can't record a regular video :/. Computers now adays typically have over 500gb of storage and the video is only 720p, even collecting at like 12 fps it would still not take a substantial amount of space. And the files can easily be compressed or deleted afterwards as needed. 0.2 fps is disappointing

We settled on the use of an image sequence to keep the file size manageable for easy sharing while still achieving an appropriate measurement resolution (~0.1 deg C between images).

You have the length measurements in meters, but the image measurements in mm… are you converting all to meters before calculating?
@pascoscientific
@pascoscientific 3 ай бұрын
Yes, that's correct. The length values are being entered into the Capstone calculator in meters. For example, around [22:59], the micrometer reading of 13.33 mm is entered into the Calculator in meters as 13.33E-3 (that is, 13.33x10^-3).

🌟 Wow, this experiment is like a magical chemistry dance! The way those crystals form-it’s like they’re whispering secrets to the universe. Keep up the awesome work, and thanks for sharing the wonder of science with us! 🧪✨

Can the timed release be adjusted? Seems like that would have been mentioned if it could be. The timing in the demonstration video is a little short.
@pascoscientific
@pascoscientific 3 ай бұрын
The accessory's built-in Timed Release button, which works with any PASCO dynamics cart, is fixed at a 1 second delay. If you use the accessory on a Smart Cart connected to PASCO Capstone or SPARKvue, you can set a different delay time in software, along with triggering the launch based on cart position or via Blockly coding.

Hi , can I use the instrument for measuring field capacity.
@pascoscientific
@pascoscientific 3 ай бұрын
Our Wireless Soil Moisture Sensor directly reports only volumetric water content (as a percentage). From an online search, it appears that some procedures for determining field capacity will work with soil moisture measurements such as from this sensor.

Ok, let's try measuring the radiation emitting from an individual who recently (within 12 hrs) has undergone a CT "stress test". Will this counter be able to discern the actual counts or peak out?

That is with paint. When you mix paint you are decreasing the number of colors that can bounce back to your eyes. Paint sucks up some colors so if you mix to many colors you get black. But light doesn't work that way. If gets brighter rather than darker when you mix it.

The set looks great! I'd love to see this setup used with the spectrum tube in place of the Mercury light source to see the difference in the larger collimating slit size. My school's chemistry department already has a set of a variety of gasses for the spectrum tube.

Due to the Essential Physics e--Book's interactivity, it's available for viewing in a web browser and not as a PDF. If you have your school's access code, you can get to the e-Book at education.pasco.com/.

Is this a chemical change or just a physical one. The temperature changes, but the substance it's self is only going between states of matter, right?

@pascoscientific

If you record video in Capstone itself (say, synced with sensor data or for video analysis), the video is embedded and saved within the .cap file itself for the convenience of needing to manage only one file. If you'd like to get a copy of the video out of Capstone to use elsewhere, right-click on the border of the video display in Capstone and select the "Save Movie As" option.

Can you only change the concentration after you find the absorbance?
@pascoscientific
@pascoscientific Жыл бұрын
The known concentrations of the reference solutions can be entered in the upper table before, during, or after their absorbances are measured. The unknown concentration in the lower table can be entered only after its absorbance is measured.
