I love how Swathi saved the couple , they would remember her forever for making their journey smooth. Just a thought about saving someone : what if they don't know to ask the right questions or hesitating to approach? When someone knows how to save , they can always mention to the ones struggling that they can help if they need to ask something right. Although not to random strangers :D but it can surely be done with friends and family :) It can mean so much to the ones who are struggling with something I believe

I would like to understand when the only way of conflict resolution a person knows is throwing tantrums and I try to set boundaries and take accountability for the decisions and explain the same to this person. the conversation pivots to "I don't like your decisions or autonomy you are showing so I will stop stopping to you" & the person actually stops talking with me .. what can I do in such case? Especially when it's a family member ..

I'm in a relationship. I'm facing a problem similar to what you mentioned. I grew up with a very loving and expressive couple-my parents-who are very affectionate. I'm the same way; whenever there's a conflict, I try to get closer and resolve things. I never let someone feel isolated because of me, but my partner tends to withdraw. I can't blame him bcoz his parents separated .I'm often the one crying and worrying a lot. Still, I remind myself that everyone is unique, with different upbringings and cultures. I'm always the one solving problems, forgiving, and forgetting for the sake of our good future.

I’m a psychologist, just completed my master’s degree. We’re in a long-distance relationship, and I often explain to him why certain things are happening and suggest improvements. If I can’t change my partner, how can I change others? It feels like a failure of my professional skills.
@mayasamma16 күн бұрын
@@alkasekhar3392 changing others doesn't happen when you become a psychologist anyway. It's our own work that happens ..and others heal/change because of our ability to connect with them, give them inputs etc. Imagine this . Someone who took 4 sessions with a good therapist might not change too.. So you don't have to evaluate your skills as a professional and compare it with what your partner/fiancé wants to do with their life and choices.

Hello Swathi and Gotha, the video was so informative, covering so many important sub-topics. So I am someone who is married to my high school sweetheart!! We fell in love at 16-17.. Anddd I absoutely agree that, teenagers can feel so strong for each other. And now when I reflect back to what made us stick to each other was, we liked each other and as teenagers, we didn't have any criteria to fall in love like his career choices, my financial status or any other thing for that matter. We loved each other for who we were back then. We both had quite some of toxic traits, we communicated to each other, had fights - real big ones, and we have come a very long way together. We were very naive, lacked exposure, no instagram platform to help us learn, very limited perspective from the peer group, butttt life had other plans, so much of us changed when he decided to come to Germany for his Masters. Big changes, huge shifts, and there we are today navigating parenting with a 3 year old daughter.. The 8 years of relationship before marriage helped us so much in understanding each other. There were surprises often even after marriage, but that's the spice of life right! ;) P.S. Our parents didn't approve of our love easily, it was a cold war in my house for 2 long years, before my dad finally told a yes! P.P.S One can balance both love and studies :)

If teens watch this free content here, probably they won't end up spending energy in adulthood to heal. Gotha's this perspective is so true. Thankfully I stumbled upon Swati Jagdish's post marriage, hence I didn't breakup. I have come a long way in healing. Husband has slowly started accepting he needs healing too. All these if done as teenagers, adulthood can be spent in more romantic & creative things 😅
