Honestly I just link the Spotify Premium to launch inside BigBox… I have heard of some applications that work like a real JukeBox with your downloaded MP4 files but I haven’t used them.

Awesome build!! Thanks for all you’re time. How do you use XML files? I know to put it in the playlist. But what do you do after? Does it auto pop and pull the games from the XML. I’m not sure why I’m so stuck on this.

Once you place the xml files in the Launchbox data folder they will auto-populate your console/playlist with the appropriate roms you have in your roms directory as outlined in the xml file…. I actually use the M Classic for upscaling the image but the LG Tru Motion option on the TV smooths out the frame-rate at the expense of added lag…

I’m all new to this if I buy the life time license what’s included do I need to instal the emulators for it to work as I’m older games ? 80’s / 90’s / 2000’s ? Or can I just download the roms for the games more like a plug and play and also where can I find where I can download the roms instas of individual to a file. Thanks !

How is this different from having launchbox/bigbox run start up application? I am however interested how you have your automatic recoil settings set up.

You could add the Sinden software to run as a startup application in Launchbox/Bigbox which I would recommend for an arcade cabinet or strictly a gaming PC… I added the software to be accessible inside Bigbox so you can easily change the recoil options within Bigbox by prompting Windows to access the software again without exiting Bigbox… you have to prompt the Sinden light gun software to be able to Alt+Tab in Bigbox otherwise it won’t work at this time…

I fixed it. I went into the options by pressing b on my Xbox controller. Then went to controller mappings. Then I added a right thumbtack to change it to platform categories view

I been a LaunchBox user for years, I love it, it turns your computer into a full on game console. You should get Kodi Media Center to add to it, and you'll have a place to put your media, and kodi you can navigate it with a controller just like with BigBox. I have a question, in BigBox, how can I go through my games, not by platform but by platform categories? I have it set up now to just show platforms. I wanna see my platform categories, press a, then go into the platforms, then press a again to go into the games for each platform. How do I do this?

I have dabbled with Kodi and have many good things about it but haven’t fully dived in yet. When in BigBox you can press “back” or Esc on your keyboard by default to go to BigBox options… there you should see an option “view platform categories” select that and you will be able to sort by platform categories… I.e., Arcade, Consoles, Computers, Handhelds

I did it, u know I been using BigBox for years and I never seen platform categories videos, looks great on my TV. Here's my laptop specs AMD Rysen 5 gaming chip NVIDIA GTX 1650 Graphics Card 4TB MVME hard drive chip where my launchbox and games are 32GB ram And I have another hard drive for windows and other apps Plus an external HD for more games, about 4TB Lastly a media HD that's linked to kodi. I wanted to make my own gaming console & launchbox does it lol

That is the old default theme in BigBox. Under theme specific options you can select to show recent games.

Nice build. I'm currently experimenting with Ai upscaling all old Daphne videos. I know there are already some available. But I want to do as many as possible to essentially enhance and archive these very important titles. As I'm also transcoding the video to newer formats in theory they should also work with Hypseus (not fully tested yet).

My experience the TruMotion makes the input lag horrible. Is there any fix to keep low input lag while TruMotion is on??

Unfortunately not at this time on the LG OLEDS to my knowledge. I’ve heard there are Samsung TVs that can do this but I haven’t confirmed…

I load the zip roms into the MAME emulator in launchbox but only some roms start and launch into the game. The others, like TMNT, DD and Simpsons, attempt to launch ( opens into black screen then quickly closes) but never start up. What am I missing?

There are several things that you would need to check… you need to know what Mame build you have and the roms need to be the matching set… I.e. .244… also are you running Mame through RetroArch or the MAME emulator itself… some games also require CHD files to run properly… I suggest doing some research and looking up MAME wiki

Quick question, where is the folder for playlist backgrounds? Can’t seem to find folder so the background is just theme default. Also are you able to link your playlist clear logos? Have a bunch I havnt seen online

Once you create a Playlist in LaunchBox there will be a folder under LaunchBox (root folder) Images > Playlists… You will find each of your Playlist here with sub folders: Banner, Clear Logo, Device, & Fanart…. Although every theme is different with different views in BigBox typically you can place a background image in the FanArt folder to display. If this folder is empty the images will be displayed randomly by the individual game FanArt images by the games contained in that specific playlist. I have yet to upload my Playlist clear logo selection to the LaunchBox forums but there are a pleathers of images you can download from the LB forums here: forums.launchbox-app.com/files/
