What are the properties of the avocado paste that makes it a suitable emulsion alternative? Obviously this worked, but curious to know why.

I have found putting painter tape on white helps me cut white foam, but it takes some finesse. Its not perfect, but it helps to get finer details for white foam (I use for diffusing light in LEDs)

This is what the Fire Engineering website states: "Wood placed in an oven at 700°F. catches fire almost immediately. At oven temperatures of 450°-500°F., the wood gradually chars and usually ignites after several hours." So, you are likely fairly safe at that temperature. You could even reduce the temperature as I don't know why you'd need to set it up at 425°F. 375-400°F would probably work just as well.

I'm an old screen printer. My suggestions: spray glue a board and insert said board between the front & back of the shirt to hold down the fabric. Pull the squeegee toward you, never away. Those two techniques will give clear prints. There are air-dry inks that are available you might like to experiment with.

Hello Chris, Back in the day before lasering, I made my own T-shirts and sold them in school. I would cut out my own stencils with an exacto knife, of bands names, silhouette images, I did a great one of Clint Eastwood, from the movie the Good, The bad, and ugly. I had Clint Eastwood's face on the front, and the movie title running down the back, I used fishing weights or whatever I could find to keep pieces of the stencils weighed down, on the T-shirt, and used spray paint, or a light mixture of bleach and water. Then spay them, let them air out for a day & wash them. for multiple colors, I would use multiple stencils. But each one was hand done, and pretty unique. And I made a little money too. That was back in 1974 ...Good times! I love the avocado slurry idea at least it worked for the shirts you printed it up. I always loved your work Chris. Keep them coming 😜👍

Thank you so much for this tutorial? Question: Why don’t you use spray paint for base colour?
@LostWaxАй бұрын
Spraypaint goes on too thin to build up a bit of texture for the metallic coat, and you get a kind of fingerprint-splotchy look.
@tofujellyАй бұрын
How did you antique it? What paint did you use for the bottom black coat and for the top metallic coat?
@LostWaxАй бұрын
I can't remember exactly , but I often use just liquitex basics for the base coat, and then I like DecoArt Americana metallics paints for the metallic.

Does it have the same precision as a caliper of comparable price? This seems like a more bulky digital caliper with some of the features missing. And if it's not as precise, I wouldn't use it over good calipers. The division feature is super cool, but is it worth the massive price?
@LostWaxАй бұрын
Yeah, if it was me, I'd just buy digital calipers. I have really noticed the lack of the stick that slides out the back end of normal calipers. The division is handy, but I use that stick a lot more.
