I wet a cloth dish towel, leaving yet quite moist and draped it over the top of the bowl. I set the microwave on one minute, took it out and scraped some of the sugar off easily. I did this multiple times until it was all granular again. The trick is keeping the towel very moist, just short of dripping. I had to rewet it each time.
