+claudia33 Not sure of who you're talking about (I'm Mexican) and "pain" is not the source to write every siongle song out there. There are millions of artists including Tool that write beautiful songs that are not about pain. That being said, Maynard is a person with Attention deficit disorder and he is not very musically driven. His music culture isn't big at all as he only acknowledges the popular classics of rock history. So that's why his music career has been vague and at times monotonous (and yes, irrelevant as well), he pays attention to other things other than music. Tell me if David Byrne has paid attention to other things other than music? No. I mean, I don't know, I still love Maynard's three music projects but we've got to name things by their own name and Maynard is not a music driven person, other things inspire him to write music (other than listening to other artists, which he does, but only the classics and a few newer artists). I don't blame him, I'm not discriminating him or anything, whatever floats his boat to make music.
