He was medicated while playing on the beach wasn't he? The wife saw the oily rain on her hand didn't she? The daughter used a sign he didn't know as well, according to another comment, nice catch. Maybe the moral of the story is sooner or later all our rational conclusions are going to be obliterated because we really don't know shit.

The storm isnt real. Everyone is ignoring the tsunami wave. You can see the ocean receding in the reflection. While simultaneously several tornados are forming on the ocean. And its raining motor oil…. Come on people. The final scene is either another nightmare or a hallucination. In the end he needs the storm to be real.

The wife sees it, the daughter sees it. It's real. Unless it's a dream (which Jeff's reaction makes clear was not the intention), the husband infected his entire family with his mental illness, which is not just stupid but also kind of offensive. Nope. The storm is real and their shared acknowledgement is the metaphorical part.

What a crap movie... All about a storm and the creator can't even answer the simple question about what the ending WAS. This is why I fast forward to the ending of movies that are suspect so I don't waste my time. Glad I did it with this one. GIVE US A TRUE ENDING FOR FK SAKE!!! Hey Jeff, interpret my ass...

I think personally he left open so people can take there own interpretation of what it means. Everyone will interpret it differently and no one is wrong. He basically wants to touch Everyone and let it impact them so we all could continue talking about it. He did it perfectly. Most of time it's cause you leave room for part 2. Sometimes you feel ( I'll leave my master peace just like it is) Just a thought!!! First time watching this movie 🎬!! Loved it

Hes writing random words but the things you think of are subliminal reflections of yourself, that’s actually a very good way to come up with ideas, im gonna use that, sometimes writers block can be a really hard thjng because people don’t want to be random, they want to be meaningful, but nothing you do as a human is random, it’s always a reflection of what’s going on in your brain.
@Makelikeatreeandgetoutofhere Жыл бұрын
In a separate interview he says that “Noah is the idea,” when referring to Curtis. Yes the ending means many things but the way Nichols speaks about it in such grounded terms makes me think that this is a literal storm. Shared hallucinations is not likely and his daughter saw it first. The lighting is also off compared to earlier dreams. Not as bright.

@@chasewhale It was a horrible "interview." Completely amature interviewer. the name was Bill Murray, Robert DuVall and Sissy Spacek South by Southwest Interview with Chase Whale and Company. They had just finished the movie South by Southwest. So you couldn't even get the name of the piece right? So you are supposed to be in this video and you don't know what it was about? Do you understand that the comma after Duvall is not correct grammar and the camera work for having that level of talent is criminal. The audio is absolutely amaturishishly horrible. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting this crap. Silly.

I've never been hired by anyone who wouldn't have laughed you out of the room. If you little show biz bois would spend less time getting degrees in Library and Digital media and didn't go into the business thinking that you are going to be the next Tarantino and got some real experience with real professionals, maybe you wouldn't have a library of videos that looks like an 11th grade TV class. from my perspective this movie is occult way to show the result of colonization and the “safety” delusion (foreigners exercise on a land they unlawfully occupying ) that everything will be okay in the end. when the end comes it’s a karmic tsunami wave so big you can’t avoid it.

The performances were excellent. I wanted to like it but it dragged on one note far too long, all leading to unsatisfactory payoff. It's all leading to a point and then the point is just a fuzzy blur. Meh.
