You walked past the Presby Iris Gardens - unfortunately, July is much too late to see the blooms but it is a great place to visit during the peak in May!

Good video they use to have 2 trains each way on Saturdays in the 1970's I rode the Sat train a number of times was always busy, then they got rid of it Montclair Hts had a station in the late 60's. Glenn Ridge is a cool station was there alot in the late 1960's the platform use to go down a entire block which in now closed but the old stairway is still there

Morris County is on the list, but not Sussex at the moment since there's no stations in Sussex County.

Denville! Out in the wilds of former Lackawanna territory! Interesting! And that's a great catch of the Atlas commemorative unit! Who says NJT doesn't have a sense of humor? Thanks for posting!

Great catches there! "Bluebird" 4101, Erie Heritage 4210, and even those seemingly timeless and ageless GP40's! Fascinating Hoboken, a historic rail site that still earns its keep. When you come down to it Hoboken Terminal's a railfan's "Gettysburg," if you get my meaning! 🤩 Thanks for posting!

That was great a great video..... I recently retired after a 32 year rail career in which I spent nearly 19 years of it at NJ Transit. Watching those trains roll in and out of the Hoboken terminal is timeless to me.... It was and is still second nature to me to see those trains on the move ! Thank You !

An easy fix for your friends concerns are the Stadler class 745 /755 in the uk. The uk only has high floor train platforms for its commuter services. But the stadler flirsts are level flooring even for those platforms so its a win win. . Its actually easier for stadler to design high floor units as they are very uniform . Most train companies now are expected to make variable trains anyway. .to make it even easier , a uniform 20 meter carriage with 2 bogies oer car set up is an easy format for stadler to design. As that formation is similat to UK and USA train models. Also, the power output would make you hit speeds very quickly. 100-125mph.(161-200kmh) between 30mile to 50mile or 100mile distances , you name it. Flirts have HIGH power output trains. Its a VERY feasible solution if you ask me. Even CAF, have civity fleet with high and low flooring, so do seimens , alstom europe etc. Not an issue for Stadler to do all models if need be.

It's so cool that the name of the jazz band The Manhattan Transfer is related to a New Jersey train station. The album cover for "The Best of The Manhattan Transfer" has a stylized steam locomotive headed towards New York City. I've got an original press vinyl record of the album. It definitely has one of my favorite album covers.

I found this quite an informative video! Now, I know how interconnected the PRR and H&M were (the latter even carried Pennsy mail, which makes it an unusual example of non-passenger usage on subways), how busy Manhattan Transfer station was, and how Manhattan Transfer is related to a train yard. Thanks for the video!
