Hi, just discovered your videos ur so good at handbalancing i was struggling with kick ups does my lack of shoulder mobility makes things harder? Btw i can do handstand but entries quite inconsistent Thanks!

@subyhandstands2852 ай бұрын
Hey! Thank you! Depending on the degree of shoulder inflexibility. You may find you need to arch the back to get the weight to stay stacked in your hands. Developing your mobility will lead to a more efficient handstand line that requires less strength to hold. Keep practicing, consistency will come with time 😊

3 main reasons 🤓 : 1. When we bend at the second knuckles it relieves some pressure on the wrists. 2. We are now gripping the surface we are balancing on much more. This results increased control. And the ability to fight from the wrist and hand with greater force. 3. The blocks are a strong visual cue of where we want to place and align the shoulders. All these things combined make learning a difficult skill like the OAHS significantly easier 😊

Pushes your balance point closer to the wall. So you’ll have to balance straight up and down, rather than leaning on it with your heels

Dear SubyHandStands we appreciate the effort you put into this video. I really like the feet of the um hHAHAHAHAHhehahehah hehehe of the errr clay d d the people doing handstands on the clay pot from china. I also like the term fads and fomo. thanks for introducing it to me. in the future before every handstand I will outstretch my arms, look at the ground and say why not. Question. Was this video made purley for the people of youtube or did you have to present it. It's very hight quality but also has the energy of someone being given a task to complete. Did you create the term handstand heads and if not is there a group I can join online or irl. Will travel 4 group / inverted company. the worlds so backwards I mayas well be upside down. that got sort of sad. on the flip side I now have a new seating posish from the anceint greek bit. some would dispute its comftability . but i'm style over substance

Hey Pascale so nice to hear from you 😃 To answer your question it was made out of my own interest, passion and for the people of KZbin. Though I took it quite seriously hence the essay like delivery you picked up on. Haha I guess I did coin the term "Handstand heads" And no, but perhaps I need to make a group with that exact name. Loool I think the ancient greeks got many things right... and some not so much. Im glad you learned some new lingo from this. Happy practicing and never hesitate to reach out again in the future! 🙌🏽

I literally can't do any of these. Not even the bent leg pike stand so where would I start? I think I'm really lacking in static shoulder strength. Longer than like 5 seconds and I need to come down
@subyhandstands285 Жыл бұрын
It may be that you just need to work on your general strength. Simple full body workouts with and without weights. Scaled to suit you current abilities. Though It is hard to say for sure without witnessing and assessing you first hand. But becoming “generally” strong certainly helps ☺️
