Thank you for the kind words. Indeed that is how I generally play the 4x games - Humankind and Civ5/6 - play sim-city until being forced to war. And I am actually impressed by the sim-city potential of this game. I do have some more series of this game coming up, and hopefully the viewers find them interesting.

I had made the choice from one of the events where we can choose +2 universities. I don't remember exactly which turn I got that event though, but its definitely there on one of the videos since I recorded every turn completely.

Are you replaying the same map on Progress? Wow. I loaded my save on turn 130 (which is at the end of episode 4), and my stats show: 13 cities, 7 policies (6 progress + 1 fealty, and I got a new policy on t130 which is unchosen), 23 techs, 2 wonders (Angkor Wat, Borobudur), Science: +180, Culture: +194, Faith: +153, Gold: +186, happiness: 58%. I do have 13 workers, but I don't know where you got the stats for buildings. I can see that I do have 82 gpt spent on building maintenance so I guess it should be around that with some added markets, so I am very likely around the same number of buildings constructed as you. I have still not ended the game, but I did enjoy it so far, so thank you again for the save. Hope you are enjoying the Progress start too, and maybe you can do this in one of your future series.

It definitely is one of the good ones if you can go for it, since they actually synergize with each other unlike many other strats. Also, money stars actually can be obtained using this strat, and there is so much money at the end of the game, that it doesn't matter even if production in cities is not enough.

Thank you for your kind comment. I had an overview that the land was empty but I had not watched your playthrough thoroughly since I was quite busy last few weeks. As soon as I saw the land in your videos (I think that was episode2/3 of your series), I asked for the save which is why I had asked so late after the series was done. Still, considering that I had an overview, I think it is fair to say that normally I would not get that many ancient ruins. And tbf, I learnt this from you, when in your Indonesia game, you got early Fishing and made great use of it. I myself had tried that in that save, and it worked great and it opened me upto getting multiple scouts aggressively especially going Progress (and even sometimes going Tradition). The other reason I get an early scout is because I do often also play also on version 4+ of VP (like the first series posted on this channel) where only scouts can collect ruins. I don't agree with that change, but then only having 1 scout means I have too few collected. So I get 2-3 even with tradition starts. I would say it pays off like 50% of the time, but on high levels, it might be better to be more conservative like you play. Since your playstyle works for you, I would say keep at it. Lastly, best of luck on your current series, and for growth of your channel. I truly think you are a very good player of this game, and would like to see more and even other games (probably Civ 7 in a few more months)

Yes, I did figure out the food supply issue from the reddit comment chain. Essentially, since the update, the population is reduced as the unit goes into queue (but it still somehow counts the food - I do agree all this is logical). However, all it does is that it makes early wars (including defense) more difficult for the player. The video is trimmed because somehow either OBS or likely Humankind got bugged and the resolution of the video changed slightly. I had not even changed any settings, and have kept everything the same, but I have seen this happen once in a while.

Indeed. I do try to use the rivers as much as possible to use movement points most effectively, though with so many units, it becomes easier to miss small details.

Thank you for the comment. I had gotten frustrated with how unstable sometimes the mod makes the game on my laptop, but I did get around to finishing up the game now. The videos should be uploaded to the finale episode within the next few days.
