As a former special operator in the US military I was not even remotely wondering what the number one spot would be I was well aware we would be by far number one but as I watched a lot of the former super powers of the world over the last 500 years from Spain to Italy to Great Britain to France even countries like Sweden Denmark and Holland were once great Powers even though there are numbers today would suggest otherwise they typically punch above their weight but I was shocked compared thinking of the numbers Russia has produced in this war against Ukraine like one of the armies that's like a big country I forget who but they had 13 tanks and I remember thinking wow Russ is losing probably 13 tanks a day in Ukraine but then when it got even to some of the big guys like France and England I was surprised that their numbers weren't much higher 150,200,000 that kind of thing and because of that I expected the US numbers to be like $500,000 even though I know we're much stronger than that I expected they were using some sort of weird criteria but then when America's numbers hit and it's like everyone else is 50,000 or 200,000 and it's like 1.3 million you're like Jesus Christmas then it's like again England and France the two great naval powers of the past half a millennia have combined I think what four or five aircraft carriers combined and then the US has 20 and that's just nuclear-powered not including the 80 we have both around the country and four locations against an all-out war against China which we all know as American military thinkers that's the next big one in the next I'm guessing 30 years and when it pops off we're going to need lots of lots of aircraft carriers cuz the Chinese are going to annihilate a bunch of ours. Chinese have a plan in their military doctrine that states that the Americans are weak and if they can knock out three American carriers in one day killing about 10000 Americans that were going to get afraid and cry and go back home the irony of course is about a century ago and other Asian superpower was rising up and they had the literal exact same theory the Americans were weak they were a paper tiger and as soon as they got stung and sliced in battle they would run away like cowardsunfortunately for the Japanese a century ago and for the Chinese 30 years in the future none of that is true in fact in one battle we did lose three carriers and we did lose about 6,000 men in one day and not only did we not retreat within a year we had not only built back the three carriers but had added 30 new ones by the end of world war II the US has more than 100 aircraft carriers. Stop and think about that for a second has the Japanese signed the surrender documents in Tokyo bay the American generals were afraid that the Japanese generals raised in an environment of pure propaganda even after the atomic annihilation of two of their cities would decide they would get cold feet and would not want to sign the documents so the Americans actually timed it so that and this isn't an era 20 years before the first real computer think of the logistics of men and fuel and oil and spare parts and food and runways and everything it would take after the last days of the war over just during the signing ceremony in Tokyo baythe US had 10,000 fighter and fighter bombers fly over Tokyo bay at the exact moments the Japanese delegation was signing so that if the Japanese generals and politicians had any second thoughts at that last moment if their pride got in the way as they were getting ready to sign the documents of the horrible war they had started they would look up in the sky and according to the American military the decks of the aircraft carriers had actually darkened somewhat because there were so many aircraft in the sky so closely interwoven in so many layers it had actually blocked out some of the Sun as 10,000 fighters fighter-bombers and bombers with a total of more than 50,000 American men all simultaneously essentially floating over Japan the logistics of this would have been mind-boggling but this isn't a time when the US in some of its battles in the Pacific at the end of world war II was bringing 10 to 15 aircraft carriers 10 to 15 battleships and 50 to 100 destroyers & cruisers all for one battle it lets you know my grandfather's age-old motto ; you don't mess with the US
