Nice pleasant song. In this particular video, the wsy that Daryl looks, I would have fearfully respected him, somewhat intimidateingly, but I actually would have been attracted to the guy in the pink jacket. That was then, in my 17 year old mind. Because I remember how I felt about Hall and Oates back then. I liked and admired Daryl back then, but I only thought of him as a pop star.. Now, I am wild about him!!!

Never that great live. They can never reproduce it that well. I have aeen a ton of live versions. The best thing about this is the vocals.😊

I was so lucky to see this same show live in 1983. Other than seeing Prince 3 times - Hall & Oates had the tightest and best band I’ve ever seen. And believe me . . . I’ve been to A TON of concerts, so that is saying a lot!

This truly is special. How did I miss this video? And all the words are exactly the same too, he still does this in his concerts, word for word.

Great teamwork from just before when Daryl decided he was the BIG Star and took up so much space that he made the gigs almost into solo concerts. This gig and the Atlantic albums is evidence that team work lifts everyone including Daryl. Just look at Al Greens understated style in his live performances. Less is more.

At 3:18, who's that guy in the slate blue jacket? I saw him in the other video, the Adult Education song video, he was wearing a hot pink jacket in that video. As I watched that video, I looked from Daryl, to John, and then to the man in the coral pink jacket. And with Daryl and John, it was cold, no reaction. But every time my eyes looked at the other guy in the coral jacket, there was a definate reaction! (And I never paid too much attention to him before).

Well, what does that mean? Does that other guy have special powers?

A young cute Daryl. In 1983, I was 17, I would have liked you then. I did like you then Daryl. You were a famous pop star to me then. I only knew of you as from Hall & Oates. And I had a boyfriend at the time too. He was 19 going on 20 when I met him. It would have been better if I had known you though, Daryl, because then maybe the romance relationship would probably have lasted longer for me, right? The question is, would you have had the time and patience for an emotionally needy 17 year old then?

Hall & Oates always had great musicians but GE, Mikey, TBone & Charlie with them were awesome. Saw them twice in the 80’s & from the beginning of the show to the last encore you were on your feet. Thanks for posting; brings back great memories.
Super skilled musicians coming together to create magic…..

I love this version, but we got to respect the original version of mike oldfield the guy known for the horror movie soundtrack of the exorcist, because without him, this song would never exist, and Hall and Oates would of never made this song succeed.
