Junior Achievement is by far one of the finest organizations I have had an affiliation with as a volunteer. I'm in total agreement with its mission statement and the positive impact it offers and brings to the lives of so many young people. I hope its efforts will continue for many, many years.

Never saw this commercial. I remember the animated one....I enjoyed that one when I was a kid.
@jb200920093 жыл бұрын
This was from 1967. The animated one (with the JA kid, a goof on Superman) was from 1966, shown during the first season of Batman.

@@jb20092009 the commercial I was thinking of was the one where kids are building a machine (which breaks down at one point) and at the end creates a large Junior Achievement banner. IIRC, it saw it during Saturday morning cartoons.
@jb200920093 жыл бұрын
@@smr61754 I believe a lot of the commercials were regional. In the ‘70s we had the one with the kids in school visiting the cookie factory which was as New York as you could get. I’ve never heard of or seen the one you described. And where are you from?
@smr617543 жыл бұрын
@@jb20092009 I was living in the suburbs outside of Philly.....Levittown, PA at the time. I may have seen other commercials for JA but that one stuck in my mind.
@jb200920093 жыл бұрын
@@smr61754 That one wasn’t shown by us. In commercials during the ‘60s-‘80s, you had the regional thing. Since I mentioned the New York style you can guess I lived in the NYC area then. Today it’s generic with cheap animation and cornball puns about selling wet teddy bears (that weirdo Liberty Mutual insurance commercial). Where oh where is Quality when you need it?!!

I went to this specific Biztown and was the CEO of the International shop.....Oh my hand from the signing! People were like "Where is your CEO" And I would be like "Here!" Like a boss! I actually sent in a job application to be the international shop's Designer but I got promoted to CEO I was actually really darn shocked when I found out, I was like "Whaaa?" I didn't know I was gonna be promoted......

Great place to be... My kid went in 5th grade...they were a bit young for it and went very fast... But did they have a blast yes. And if they had a chance to make a two day field trip... they would have understood so much more. I hope you can open more JA finance for more kids to get in. Anyone that can afford should go. And why this isn't attached to each school is sad.
