I wish someone would tell me why this contrives to remind me of eating Brussels sprouts. No seriously, i got into it in 1979 time when i was taken at age 15 to see it in the Philharmonic Hall. My father was a devotee of Stravinsky and really liked this work. I got to like it in 1980/1 time and would sometimes play it more than my pop/rock records around that time. Now i tend to keep it in cold storage. Still however, it reminds me of eating sprouts and always has done.

Pure shit. A symptom of the colapse or a cause of it? Both at the same time, probably.

I bought all Gergiev's LSO Mahler's and sold them. I wasn't convinced by his readings of them at all! His head is in the score too much, he clearly didn't really know this music.
