Constructive criticism: show a finished project first. Explain the project parts. Introduce each new element of the project. Speak up and we need a face shot or something in an intro.

I'm a relatively new sock knitter. So far I've knit a pair for my husband and have three pair on the needles. My husband's socks and two on the needles are a simple Kroy vanilla sock, and the other pair is from Steven West's sock along last year. So I don't have much to pull from. But I think I may be a top down the vanilla sock knitter, because I thoroughly enjoy knitting them.

If you have trouble with your yarn splitting, try pulling from the other end. It usually means it's twisted in the opposite direction to what you need. Pulling from the other end will tighten the twist as you knit.

As you know, practically all I knit is socks. I love the Vanilla Latte socks, Hermione’s Everyday socks and Blueberry Waffle socks - all free on Ravelry. I always do cuff down, with heel flap and gusset, but for a friend have started doing Banana socks, which are great fun. Loved your knitting - though I still think you are bonkers not just using your own yarn!! Congratulations on the 500 subscribers 👏👏 Jinny x

Hello! Oh wow, you have 499 subscribers now; so good! I found Tina at Simply in Stirches that you reccomended for learning to knit socks. She has a 9 video series on learning, which is perfect! The first video describes everything you need, and I will have to wait until next month, and hopefully I can get everything. And she is really nice, I like her bunches! I really want to knit socks for my family for Christmas. She teaches a " My Favorite Vanilla Socks" by The Unapologetic Knitter, for beginners. I've only knit dishcloths before, and it's been some time. So, I really still need to go back and learn the basics again. I have a lot more experience with crochet. Although, I've been crocheting on and off for 50 years, I would still consider myself to be in the beginner range. Right now I'm crocheting a really cool cotton market bag as a surprise for my mom. There are a few mistakes, and I have also had to frog several whole rows. But, it is actually coming out great; sort of. I'm working from the bottom up, and somehow I have 20 extra stitches in each row now, which by some miracle the pattern is still working out. But, when I get to the top I'm gonna have to do some math to make the handles work. I hope that made sense. You sure keep yourself busy! Your Yew Sabai top is beautiful! I hope I'll be able to knit and crochet garments. And I think you really should have labels made for your most lovely bags. I just love your bags! Do you have a website that you sell them at? And I'm looking forward to your review of needles! I need to purchase some for the socks. Tina uses 2.25 mm needles for socks, and you use so much larger of a size. She reccomends ChiaoGoo 9" 2.25mm. The connector is really short. They are only $10, and supposed to be sharp. Have you ever tried those? I don't really know what to get. Those sets of HiyaHiya needles are $100. I'm sure they are worth it, but I would have to wait until after Christmas to get those. I need to do more research for both needles and yarn. I love the gorgeous yarns you use! Sorry so long! Congratulations on your 3 year podiversary 🎉 It was a lovely surprise to see my pattern, that was my first pattern release. I hope you enjoy it. It’s a simple pattern but my version 1 and version 2 are my most worn scarves. It’s hard to choose a favourite sock pattern but I have knit a couple of pairs of the Bookshelf Socks by Beccy Mundy, at the moment I’m trying my first pair of colourwork socks.

aim your camera to the front of the machine rather, why the back of it? and then when you are pulling your fabric out of the back of the machine ( why? your feed dogs do that work ) your arm is in the way.

Hello lovely lady, I found you about a year ago I think. I might just have been tempted to buy a few bags again 😂. They never go wrong. I've only ever knitted one pair of socks and that was probably about 10 years ago. So honestly I would have to say Vanilla socks. I was going to try again this year but so far haven't got round to it.
