Hi. They usually look for the sound the drum makes and the drummers' presentation can help this, and sometimes hinder it.

Hi this is great, could you please explain? Is the Broughshane Bust the name of the tune or what does that mean? I live in County Antrim and I have recently taken a really keen interest in the Lambeg drum . I would like to know how the drummer remembers the tune and perhaps what they are called. Any reply would be much appreciated thank you. 👍

Hi. The Broughshane Bust is the name of the drum itself, as the drum has a bust of King William painted on it. The tune isn't really a tune-just a collection of rhythms and bits and pieces of tunes stuck together. Hope that helps
