congratulation Mark on fullfilling your dream, and also to your guides well done, I hunted for years moose , bears is one thing I never wanted to meet in the bush , as you know were not allowed to shoot them if we dont have a tag or bear season is closed , even if we are hunting I think we have the right to shoot them if they are attacking us , strange how one guy got charged for shooting a bear that attack him , those laws have to change ,we do have the right to protect ourselves , great video thank you for sharing ,

Wow...i could hunt it....just dont know if i could actually shoot if that makes sense. Just knowing i could have taken it...would almost be good enough lol. Its weird a giant buck id be like down it....but a giant bear a part of me has reservations. But why would hunting bear be any different than other species. You always go for the older animal. That has spread its genes and in a sense served its purpose to its species...im conflicted lol.

Cooked my bear steaks on the grill with just some normal seasonings. It is all in how you process from field to table makes huge difference….Better than ribeye steak😊😊
@dameronlyon674014 күн бұрын
I'm new so excuse my ignorance but any processing tips you can share?
@LynnRouleau14 күн бұрын
Once the bear is down. Get it field dressed asap… Get it cooled as fast as possible. Wash out body cavity if possible to remove blood etc…stuff body cavity with ice if you can’t get to a place to cool it. Remember the hide retains a lot of heat as well. I skin mine as soon I can. 1/4 then put in freezer. My bear then is finished processed with in few days.I stress very much get it cooled.
@dameronlyon674014 күн бұрын
@@LynnRouleau ok so kinda like dear meet cooling is key..I don't have a huge freezer to cure it will a cooler full of ice with the drain plug open be sufficient?Would u say 24 hrs or longer?
@LynnRouleau14 күн бұрын
Yes anything to get it cooled.
@LynnRouleau14 күн бұрын
Once it’s cooled get it processed into what you to choose.😊

What an incredible buck. Congratulations. I don’t love that others have commented on here doubting the score of the buck. As if they somehow know better than you. That is the buck of several lifetimes and is completely beautiful - but for so many more reasons than what the gross score ends up being. A fully mature mule deer buck is now and will forever be one of the most difficult trophies to obtain. So, again… congratulations. Bryce

Isn't it amazing that men if you want to call them that must use there money to keep trying to prove to there selves and to others that there a man by hunting a helpless animal for these bears most of them have never in there lives seen a man and of course the garbage that most humans are would shoot one of these last few bears on earth from afar because of course they would never ever make it an even fight even with a bow it's not even because we would want anything to happen to our millionaires the bows backed by a rifle handgun and hand grenades and the millionaire with its money could probly call in an F16 airstrip to save the pos life well pal if you want to prove your a man stop killing what little wild life we have left or if you must kill a bear break our the bowie knife or a machete and show us you got some balls you really don't your a fcking lover and we'll always be

To hunt and aquire meat 🍖🥓 too consume is honorary & ethical? Then to hunt & watonly take an animal simply for a personal Trophy 🏆🏆 is an entirely egotistical issue of one's own vanity. These are my opinion & POV these day? Years ago when I was much younger? I too had different views of why I was craving the mere ideas of hunting. After the first ohh five years. My total ideals, concept's, and my reasons for hunting then completely changed. At that time I realized i did it for the enjoyment of the meat 🍖🍖 I then was acquiring for myself. IT also made me feel like I was accomplishing a True endeavor of my Male adulthood? Aswell as making me more self sufficient, & aware of my own capabilities. By that time I had come to the realization that all the hype of Trophy hunting & such? Was then just over achievers or Money 💰💰 driven egomaniacs that were really just Blood lust ❤️🔥❤️🔥 hungry over achiever's, & some with Death wishes it seemed? Well that's my thought's 💭🤔 Thanks for sharing.

Don't discount bear fat. Try this.... cut bear ribs same as pork baby back and spare ribs leaving as much meat as possible on the bone. Use a dry rub for beef ribs then smoke until tender. I smoked mine for 2 hours then wrapped in foil add a little liquid and finished on indirect heat (200°f) for 5 hours. Glaze with your favorite sauce for beef.

I mean it was a great hunt but you didn't do it by yourself you had someone standing there with a rifle in their hand in case it didn't go right I only see this as a half hunt you didn't have the balls to stand there only with your bow and arrow and take on that bear you have to have backup cuz you didn't have the balls to do it by yourself that's how I feel
