AVP was my favorite in the arcades but wish they had more variety in the enemies haha. I just noticed now.

I tried it and failed. I used a ps4 and an xbox controllers and turn on co op mode but the player 2 was unanle to move his character. Fuck the game, I tried many adjustments but still failed.

Excellent set of games, most of which I didn’t know (and I know A TON of games) as per usual.

Most of these were played in the 90's. I was hoping for more modern co-op games that I haven't played which seems to be very slim. Nice post for those in a later generation that haven't seen them before.

Not much has changed in the last few decades. This type of gaming is dying off.

What would be the category of a game where you plug in two controllers into the same computer and has a two-player option where two people can play on the same computer? "How to Survive" would be a perfect example of what I'm talking about. All these different terms confuse me and I can't seem to get a straight answer. I've heard "couch co-op", "local co-op", etc., and can never tell if they're online only or what I'm talking about. Hate to sound clueless, but it really is confusing. Any suggestions would also be appreciated. Please help.

I don't understand this - is the first game and actual CARTRIDGE that you can buy to use on an actual NES (because that would make no fucking sense cuz no one has an NES anymore) or is it a digital game that is released to used on NES emulators?

What's funny about Xbox was when the games for that console were exclusives they would have a yellow stamp saying only on Xbox to let everyone know it was only on xbox. Sony never felt the need to do this for PlayStation. None of the games on PlayStation say PlayStation only on the box. What's wild is Xbox giving a stamp confirmation you wouldn't be able to play the game anywhere else then years later those so called exclusives go to other platforms anyway. Hunter the reckoning, I just picked it up today used to be Xbox only but it later came out for the game cube. If I had known I would have just got it for my GameCube since my GameCube library is sparse.

RCR: Underground fell by the wayside with the revival of the original Nekketsu Kunio franchise. Why bother with the licensed Western "fan game" based on the Western redesign when you can have the "real" thing? It didn't help that developer Conatus Creative AFAIK never released anything else, leading to the developer and its single-game catalog dropping out of and never returning to the public conversation.

Double Dragon 2 for NES deserves some kind of mention.

Well the multiplayer mod on pc is really better but the coop mod on single player is still really good it does need patches tho.
