A good idea, when you're using portfires, is to attach them using tape to long sticks, this keeps your head away from the top of the firework when you're lighting it.

I've got the new UKCA version and it's not as grand as it used to be with more focus on quieter colour effects, the whistle and brief crackly section has gone, and you don't get the full peacock's tail with all three fountain gerbs firing at once.

These are a scam in the sense that they have essentially the same amount of powder as a VSR3 and other big rockets (180 grams), since that is the UK legal limit. That is also about how much powder can fit into a 3" ball shell. A true 4" ball shells would have upwards of 320 grams of powder, way over the legal limit. Save your money and get the other rockets instead.

Anything with 30mm bore should be 25m spectator safety distance whether F2 or F3. I would also recommend the firer wear suitable ppe ie hard hat with visor and ear defenders plus fire retardant overalls.

Problem with British fireworks they are shit... they are nowhere as loud like they were 30 years ago..... they have been restricted top much.

Blame ever changing fireworks regulations and constantly changing explosives regulations, it's not the UK importers and distributors at fault for this.
