This is a bad repair. Especially if the hose is part of the cooling system. The clamps that come stock in the car, are not ridged. Meaning when the fluid heats up the hose is also gonna heat up and expand. The clamps are made to expand along with the hose. The way your doing it. Wont be long ti that hose has a cut right along where you just clamped it. Sometimes what looks like a good idea , ain’t!

These come factory on fluid lines from German and European manufacturers, it’s just another option to have in the tool box. I’ve used these for a number of years with no issues small and large engines.

Maybe on a junk plastic radiator you'd be onto something. But metal expansion and shrinkage with thermal cycles is not nearly as important, and both the clamp and radiator are metal. Whats gonna get squished, the tube?

Why will nobody show how to remove the lower factory plow bracket mount, or crash bar that is held in place by 3 bolts with round flat heads??? Mine just turn in place. Vice grips are kinda working to hold heads while I use an impact.

I took my crash bar off when I got the truck, i didn’t have any issues with the bolts turning though. Maybe grind the smooth side flat with a flap disc if you can get access and punch them out.

@@CotterPinGarage are the cams OEM? If they are, then the exhaust cam is advanced. Or they've substituted/modified the decomp roller that bumps the valve bucket. Normal Cdale cranking compression is 70ish with stock cams. BTW the OEM cams were originally from Megacycle and offer very strong performance. Also the later cams, though not Megacycle were exact knockoffs of the originals, just cheaper from Italy.

I completely removed all that plastic nonsense inside the tank from Ford, added a piece of stainless fuel line to extend the pickup line to about an inch from the bottom of the tank and installed a good quality aluminum body stainless steel filter on the frame rail before the fuel pump. Now it's simple easy to check and clean my tank filter without having to drop the tank.
@CotterPinGarage
@CotterPinGarage Жыл бұрын
I considered doing the same thing, and with the pump being on the frame rail I don’t know why ford didn’t put a canister filter right before the pump for easy maintenance. Over engineered pickup and screen assembly for sure.

Man this helped a ton. Thank you. Mine is a 6.0 and didn't have the 2 screens like yours. But the foot problem mine sure did have! I didn't even know there was a problem and by luck I caught it before I killed my new injectors. I went into my hfcm to delete the fuel heater and clean it up in there. I am glad I did it was hammered in there. Plastic and trash. About plugged it up in there where the fuel heater is in the hfcm cover. I blew air from there back to the tank to make sure that was clean and then did the tank foot. Trash everywhere. I got lucky.... Thanks for your video
