This camera will always be my first love, started my journey in 2020 when i bought my first camera (a yashica tl electro X obviously) and i loved every second of using it, now i own a Fujifilm xt2 (literally a fantastic workhorse) because of the lack of film in my area and the price rising, but this yashica will always be in my heart!

One of these just arrived with a Sears Auto 55mm 1.4. Not great ebay pics, so a risk buying it at 29 bucks. Oh, man, the whole thing is cherry. I'll get an adapter for my Fuji X system, but I get a kick out of these serious paperweight as is. Of course being an Electro, these do take batteries. Love the shutter. Much more to learn with these than is in this video.

Thanks for the video. Very didactic. I have the Mamiya 645 Pro Tl (like this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGSQnYutfreLkK8) for 5 months and I still haven't taken any photos. I hope to do it soon. Your video helps me understand how the camera works. I find it difficult to understand how A and AEL modes work. The viewfinder I have is the AE FK402. can you help me? Gracias

Film Photography Club No problem, they should turn out pretty good now that I know what failure looks like! Idk why you'd post an "educational" video on something you haven't even tested prior to filming. Don’t ask people to let you know what they think if you’re going to be a baby about it.

I found this camera at a garge sale and i really want to use it, but it is missing the battery door over): does anyone know where i can find one, or if it will still work without the battery? plz and thank you
@lornezanis49303 жыл бұрын
You will be missing some essential features, but you can shoot without a battery for now. However, it will default to 1/1000 shutter speed and you won't be able to adjust the aperture or use the light sensor. You can probably find a camera for parts on ebay that has the battery cover, and then you will also be able to salvage any other parts from it if something else goes bad. When you do get a battery, use two px640a batteries (but be aware that because these are not an exact replacement for the original batteries that are no longer manufactured, there is a chance it will burn out your light sensor LEDs. I have yet to have any problems, however).
@Kaylabearyt3 жыл бұрын
@@lornezanis4930 Okay so the camera will still work to take basic pictures? Just not all of the features that makes sense. This was so helpful! thank you so much for replying. I looked on ebay and cannot find only the battery door, only the whole camera with parts for pretty expensive. I think I will buy some film though just to see what I can capture.
@lornezanis49303 жыл бұрын
@@Kaylabearyt saw one for parts for eight dollars, there's lots of cheap options if you want a camera for parts only. You probably won't find anyone selling just the battery cover, but i think a camera for less than 20 bucks to make sure you have all the pieces is not so bad!

With the AE Prism finder, would you just leave the shutter speed dial on the A/AEL setting, and would it then automatically fire at the correct speed, or do you still have to manually turn the dial to the speed that it advises, more like a guide?

Just wanted to add - you can do a double exposure on most 35mm SLR cameras by pressing the film release button (small black button on the bottom), then holding the rewinding knob while you crank the film lever. Should work on this camera too.

This review is fake I think. I've been watching reviews on this particular camera and the last four in a row all started with someone saying "oh yeah I didn't have a instant camera but I borrowed this one from a friend and I've had for about a month." There definitely all ad libbing from the same script. I think I'm still going to buy one but they should really tell you there getting paid for this review.
