MONUMENTAL moment!! Only thing is if Bane really wanted to feel superior, he would fight Batman when he's rested. Bane needs venom and how many weeks of wearing him down to get the upper hand! I thought Bane had pride in his fights but.......

This should have been the death of Bruce Wayne... leading up to the eventual Dick Grayson / Damien Wayne Batman and Robin.

I really enjoyed this run, and the 2 guys play chest was (Spoiler warning) Gideon and Toad. Continued Spoiler warning: Toad wanted Proteus to join him Brotherhood once he returned, and hired GeneTech. Gideon wanted to use Proteus energies to be Gideon's ultimate tool in his control of the planets economic structure, and he hired A.I.M. and through them hired Alliance of Evil. But what Toad didn't know was GeneTech was also working for Gideon, so no matter who brought back Proteus, Gideon would win. Gideon was the main guy behind the whole Kings of Pain event, and to this day no one really knows. This is such a good one, and really shows how dangerous Gideon is.

It’s hilarious to see how Cable started off with the most horrible hairline in marvel but over time it got better and eventually he wasn’t balding anymore 😂 Another case of anyone else drawing a Liefield character better than he could.

So many young fans who only know Loki through the MCU have no idea how dangerous and cunning Loki truly. He wasn’t just a teen heartthrob being slapped around by other villains. Usually Loki was in charge and downright scary when he wanted to be. First time he fought Dr Strange, he had Strange terrified of him. The only Strange survived was cause Thor was just casually flying by the sanctum sanctorum and Loki thought Thor was looking for him and ran away. Otherwise he would’ve destroyed Dr Strange

the only thing i knew about knight fall was that it was that iconic story where bane broke batman's back and that was it. these videos are really exposing a lot of stuff i didn't know about batman history. thanks and keep it up.

Rob Liefeld had *just created* some of these characters, yet the art teams on this issue make them look _so much nicer_ than they did when drawn by Rob.

Great video as always. I love how there is *just no way* to square the circle about why Feral is here apart from her just being a replacement for Wolfsbane. We have well and truly hit the Liefeld era in full and it shows immediately. (And I don't just mean the art.) Granted, this book was already a ship of theseus. After issue 54 (or so) members kept falling off the team, with a big cleave from Genosha taking out two Xavier era characters, but these last 3 issues (the first with Liefeld in near total control) just abandon any sense of what the book once was. It makes it really difficult at times to inspect things from an in universe character perspective. I truly despise Cable's dissmissive rundown of the former members, declaring them / their abilities as "useless in battle" or "not worth the effort." With that, Cable is not a teacher, or at least, ceases to be. It's wild to me that the second oldest member on the team after these last 3 issues never met Xavier or even Magneto. It would have been hysterical if the book wasn't retitled. I mean, I guess it wouldn't have been _wrong._ Pictured here are a bunch of *"New Mutants"* (which _addmittedly_ was a title destined to age like milk.)

Cable's first solo book doubled down on that comment, with Skids being unable to protect her MLF teammates from Cable who shoots Sumo (a character who frankly shouldn't have been created).

Between Sal Buscema, Sienkiewicz, Jon J. Muth, Bret Blevins and Liefeld this series had an eclectic mix of art styles.
