Assassin Emblem is the best for Layla. Layla is hybrid marksman where she can do half trinity & half crit build. If you do full trinity or full crit Layla build, she is useless on teamfights, almost no survivalbility & sustainably. Malefic Gun is currently her core item due to secret buff. Layla is not the same as Hanabi/Miya/Moskov (chase/finisher) or Brody/Granger/Beatrix (burst type). So Layla is just the middle of the two types of marksman.
