How would you know if BCAS "doesn't accept escorts"? Do you have the EHS policy handbook? If someone is recalled or sectioned there is always a police escort.

@@emergencyfirstresponders4413 it's a matter of policy, I work there. An emergency vehicle is more likely to get hit while following and we have more restrictions while taking an intersection and speed. As far as I've been told it's something that's taken rather seriously. Likely because negative outcomes have occurred in the past. This doesn't mean an officer can't follow, we just don't allow the police to lead and clear the way like in other jurisdictions.
