@@raphaut No sorry. It could be because the author of those placed them in "PACKS", which is what I do for most of my workshop content. It makes it easy to upload them but it makes it hard to search for them by name. Signs are very easy to make yourself in Blender, and its fun.

This is really cool, I think it would be even better if: you had parts of the city that are more affluent with high tech and others that are more rundown. Buildings that you can enter e.g apartment complex

Can the car drive along the ground? I think that would be good too, even necessary. I was wanting to see that more than flying lol. Like, are those wheels useful or what? Nice work though.

Yes the car does drive on the ground as well. You can see it do so briefly right before the transition to flying.

Asset dump
@jimbowestcoast29297 ай бұрын
90% of these assets were created by myself over the span of 2 years. I originally made the assets as mods for Cities:Skylines. You can see all the assets I've created over on my Steam Workshop page. So the only assets being dumped here are my own, and for the 10% that are not, I mention them at the very end of the video (credits screen). I swear, there's one of you in every comment section.

Awesome work but a big misconception developers have is that more size is better...nope...more explorable stuff in the same size is better. So those sky scrappers that you can never enter in or the locked rooms in buildings etc is the real immersion killer. 3 fully interacteable buildings with rewards for exploration is better than a 1000 building city that you fly by. Star field with their 1000 planets pitch is the one that showed this problem at the extremes. Good initial work though
@jimbowestcoast29297 ай бұрын
Yeah that's good advice. My favorite part of this is building the city, which I could go on doing indefinitely. But I need to slow down on that and start making fun things to do for players.
@AaronVictoria7 ай бұрын
Yea I agree with this 100%. I saw a statistic where someone working on GTA 6 suggested that 86% of the buildings will be enterable in-game, and I saw lots of people saying, "I don't care, as long as there are mission-based buildings that are accessible." Other people suggested that it would just be a bunch of generically populated buildings and such, but I think for immersion, that still goes a long way to making the world feel believable. I'd rather that 86% be the entire game worth of buildings and the other 14% just not be included if I had a choice. I just feel there is so much potential to having them all be interactive like making missions and NPCs in all of them that can be interacted with. Or, you could just have a bunch of content in them for the sake of exploration. Very good point.

@jimbowestcoast29298 ай бұрын
You're right, they are. They were made for Cities:Skylines, a game released in 2015, so low-poly was a requirement. I did upgrade the textures from 1K/2K to 4K, but remaking the meshes will be a longer project.
