Question: I am studying the prayers at the foot of the altar. What is the correct pronunciation of “Spiritui” in the Gloria Patri? Isn’t the emphasis on the second syllable? Thanks you for setting me straight on this.

Yes, the emphasis should be placed on the second syllable as you indicated. The Missalæ Romanum has the accent thus: Spirítui. In moving relatively quickly through the Gloria Patri it is not always easy to get this correct...

I'm a lay person and I don't know if I have a vocation but I'm trying to learn all the text of the Latin mass the priests words and the servers words. I felt like maybe it was bad for me to say the priest words out loud while learning
