Entertaining interview .... Barry Silkman was a bit of a character, a bit different, and not a bad player, but he seemed to leave City as quickly as he'd arrived, and this video explains why .... i've never forgotten him though.

One of the best performances from Alex I saw was in 1982 season at White Hart lane v spurs he was superb that day saving everything spurs threw at him we won 2-1 it was Graham bakers debut and he got both goals .that was a really great win as spurs always seemed to beat us back in the late 70s/early80s one of our bogey teams but I loved that side from 1980/82 under John bond .CTID.1977🏴

Great episode bud. Not a city fan, but had a soft spot that 80’s team David & all the other young lads played in because I was around the same age. Used to come to Manchester from Hull most weekends for shopping and nights out, acid house era. All the coolest people we’d meet were city fans & hated United more than me 😀. Read David’s book…such an honest fella.

Paul Power was my favourite City player in the 80s... I remember my Dad took me to my first game against Liverpool back in 1985 after City won promotion then I got tot see him in action.... Paul was illustrated on the front cover of the program..... City Won 1-0... my Dad supported Liverpool...

I was at Norwich when he broke his ankle, a group of us stayed the weekend and went out to a nightclub after the match and ran into the Norwich player who did it (can't remember his name) he totally panicked after being cornered by a drunk group of City fans grilling him on breaking Jeff's ankle! He said he'd just been to the hospital to visit Jeff and apologised to him and everything was fine between them both so no need to kick off at him in this night club! 😂 I always wondered if he lied about the hospital visit to defuse the situation 😂

My 1st cousin Paul...we (send to kick a ball up and down Oatlands Rd outside his house in Woodhouse Park....while the girls were inside listening to Catherine’s Sound of Music record.....good times back In the 60’s....This was so interesting to hear the inside story from a professional footballer....it was so sad when Paul’s sister Catherine passed away....much love from me here in Australia....

Paul was absolute class, both on and off the pitch. He was a generational talent who could play anywhere, such was his ability. One of the saddest days I've witnessed was his testimonial when he kicked the match off on crutches with his knee in a protective brace, heartbreaking.😢
