Its not as easy as it looks to apply. i just did mine and i wish they would have recommended primer prior to applying the rocksolid. There were spots where the concrete just absorbed a lot of the rock solid and you can see where the floor bleeds through.

Am I the only one who thinks this review is completely idiotic and this guy is a moron. Never mentions the turbocharged 1.2 l engine than only puts out 137 horsepower. I guess 137 horsepower is adequate for that car but the point is when you squeeze it out of 1.2 l by turbocharging it is really stressing it to the max and it ain't going to last very long.

I heard a good tip for removing the oil filter with no mess. Once it is cracked loose, slip a 1 quart sandwich bag over the filter and then spin the filter off the rest of the way. The bag catches the oil and keeps everything clean. I tried it and it works great!

This is a crossover not an actual SUV, that's why it's not meant for off road and doesn't have a higher clearance. You said you like to have the steering wheel low, but as low as you had it, that's not safe to drive like that. With the wheel being that low if you were in a collision, you would be seriously harmed by the airbag deploying. It's not a bad little vehicle it's just not a higher priced and better equipped crossover. The Traiblazer would be more to your liking, the Trax is Chevrolet's entry level Crossover.

Thanks for the review though I find some of criticism you penned on it a little silly. You probably should have spent a little more time with it/ cross shopping before purchase. The real test will be long term reliability/durability. If it has issues like the vehicles equipped with the 1.4 Turbo (Sonic, Cruze, previous Trax and shared cross division platforms), then it's not worth it. However, for brand new with a warranty these days, its a great option for day to day transportation. I work for a rental car company and drive tons of lower end rental cars. Try living with/driving a Mitsubishi Mirage and you will appreciate the new Trax. All of the things you talk about could easily be fixed, but will drive the price up. I dont find Trax to be the penalty box you have described however i do understand we all have diffrent standards of perceived quality. Let us know what you purchase to replace the Trax.

I towed my suzuki samurai rock crawler from LA to the rubicon trail and back around 16h 1,000 mi round trip, she did great! pulled it no problem, when I got to a hill I learned that the turbo really kicks in to compensate for the load, I never found myself needing more power, it was always there when I needed it. 24 AWD w/ 4K Tow. was pulling a Steel dual axle trailer, was prolly around 3,800-4,200 lbs all together
