my brother in christ, pick different people to talk about this. Steve Jobs was one of the biggest whiners and complainers of his age, and is only remembered for being a notoriously persuasive speaker who threw fits anytime someone said no to him (on the rare occasion where his absolute shit personality didn't wear them down into saying yes) a dude who screamed at a toddler in a golden corral for ordering meat because HE was a vegetarian. There are so many hopeful people in the world, who see through the superficiality of a lot of modern consumerism, but these, for the most part, are just Guru's, they cant help you because their advice is a marketing scheme meant to make the speaker iconic and give the optics of being profound. Likewise with Jordan Peterson as well, an individual whose entire personality is about inconveniencing others because it mildly upsets him on a personal level, not even physical. His obsession with culture war politics and outrage is the complete opposite of the values of truly profound thinkers like Marcus Aurelius, Edward Said, Hobsbawm, John Calvin, and people like Albert Camus, who embodied stoic values while combining them with moralism. These people both in how they treated others and how they represented themselves are the people who truly embody the values you would wanted to start living. Kanye is a pretty easy takedown btw, the man has 0 consistency, and banks off his image nowadays instead of actually maintaining any sort of coherent set of morals, values or beliefs, he is unwell and malleable to anyone who can enter his comfort zone. Anyone can write a million dollar inspirational speech when they're riding the high of success, doesn't make it thoughtful advice or even good advice, just words to make you feel motivated and.....that's about it. It's like listening to pop songs that you never bother to pay attention to the lyrics of.

Why can’t someone have all those things and happiness? If you’re going to devote my life to something, regardless of its struggles, you should find happiness in that. You only get one life, you should be happy for most of it while being useful to the world. Who wouldn’t want that?

Life is no more complicated than one thing. Do what you want. Its not easy but its simple. If you want a family then live for that. Thats all live is about, being happy. Do what makes you happy and you stop caring about greatness or legacy. Im speaking from experience, everything is fun now, lifting, work, hobbies, all xuz it adds to what i love to do. Its that simple folks, dont overthink it

The purpose of life? Life has no purpose. You exist and that all that life has given you and wishes for you. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make your own purpose. But don’t try to make it life purpose, but rather your own purpose in this world. Instead of saying “what the meaning of life” or “what the purpose of life” ask yourself, “what the meaning of MY life”, “what the purpose of MY life” and sooner or later you will have your answer.

The idea that the purpose of life is "to be useful" is pretty damn ridiculous huh. Nigga's telling people to live life how they want to and then telling them their purpose is to be useful 😭

life actually has no purpose... we are living right now just because we do. It's that simple. Chasing or creating a purpose for the simple act of living will limit you in the long run because a purpose or dream will never make you have that moment of GENUINE satisfaction for having just lived. Your dreams get buried with you and achievements get overshadowed by other achievements. That's just my opinion. (not saying having dreams or goals is bad. Just don't build your life based on only those 2 and instead let things come to you naturally.) Don't run, just walk and enjoy the view.

only applies to young adults so they can thoughtlessly rear in the next generation and then get caught up wage slaving like everyone else. Rinse repeat for the coming generations while the rich (really rich) actually live.

This is true and not true. But trust me life is no epic triumph, you can do great things and help people. But life is not this epic triumph. Once you have become the best person you can be and accomplish what you have wanted. You'll realize that's still not enough. But do your best to help the world and be happy, just dont think it will cure the emptiness.

No, you’re not ADD or ADHD. You may have those however they do not define you. As someone who also has both, I can let you know that if you want to succeed bad enough, then you will. These videos are only temporary boost of motivation, it’s up to you to find rely on discipline instead of motivation though. You got this bro
