I live in Tokyo and I have been using your recipe for years, with friends and family brining me bottled sofrito and sazon, but today while trying to make some at my girlfriend’s house, I found some mold in my bottle of sofrito that I left in her fridge. Luckily, there are quite a few Asian supermarkets in the area with most of the materials from your homemade sofrito video and I was able to make my own. Thank you so much for your cooking videos. Me, my girlfriend, and her Japanese/pakistani family all love my Pollo Guisado all thanks to you.

A friend brought a different version of this to work. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked it seeing as how i don't like Spam, lol 😂. She did hers with Spam, cream cheese and apricot preserves. It was surprisingly delicious.

wow mi abuela in puerto rico use to sell these along with the tamarind and peanut butter and cherry. She use to have the tamarind plants in the back of her house along with a deep freezer in the kitchen. I miss her and this brought back memories going to the island every so often just to help her make them and sell them all while eating my limber.....

Don't store in plastic....Everything will taste like sofrito....is that a bad thing? lol
