I cant for the life of me get the tonearm to balance or stay above the resting place, and I also cant find any setup/instruction for the tonearm either, so now I am here at the 10 yr old video asking for help!! this tt was my step fathers who sadly has passed so I cant ask him. any help would be appreciated .

How did you connect your phone to the Luxman? I’m assuming your using the streaming service

I included treble, bass and balance controls on the first couple of amplifiers I made. Then I realised that I never used these controls, and the last amp I made (Quad 405 powered) has a simple op-amp for the pre-amp with just a volume control, no tone controls at all. They are not missed.

I have a 1210GR. It's funny reading comments from fussbudgets about milling flaws on the GR deck strobe, as if Technics had milled everything with micrometric precision back in the "good old days." From now on, I'm going to post the above video whenever I read a complaint about cosmetic flaws in the new Technics decks.

You shouldn't tape from a cell phone either. Connect to a high quality DAC at least. Also, the levels should be more in the red to get max signal to noise ratio and dynamic range. Don't worry, the tape can handle it.

Hi I have a question. I have this remote and I’m trying to test it without the system. All the buttons light up besides the TUNER and TAPE buttons . Is that normal for those 2 buttons to not light up if I’m pressing them without the system? Thank you so much for any help !!

Recently, a longtime friend of mine actually gave me one of these turntables, and other than needing a good cleaning it works great for the most part (although the automatic functions don’t really work as they should… probably due to old grease). Mine comes equipped with a Shure V15 III-DU cartridge, which apparently hasn’t had much use.

I had one of these in the early/mid 80s, and that thing was incredible! I was just a kid, but I bought it on the spot at the mall stereo store. I had a Yamaha Receiver/amplifier with a Teac 170 Top Load cassette and this crazy Technics turntable that you could shake or turn upside down and it played fine. It all ended up a some H.H. Scott Pro"s. It was a good sounding set up, but when I added the Expanded? Holy crap! My mind was blown listening to all these albums and hearing sounds and even instruments I didn't hear before. It was amazing! If you're doing the retro analog stereo thing, you need one of these, and they're available and not too expensive in the usual places. I can't say enough good things about these simple little boxes
