Trying to learn belly dancing hip movements but man i gotta go back to my childhood and relearn this shit, this is my comfort honestly. My tailbone and pelvis have awful posture because no one ever corrected me on my booty LOL and so in yoga and all the dance ive taken ive made it easier for myself with this booty pout thing XD. But with the proper posture here, this is still my comfort when moving my legs, compared to doing the belly dance style (i think because its a much smaller hip flick than this and so I keep feeling like I'm not doing enough and im a thin stick so i dont see much difference so its hard to tell if im doing it correctly haha. I focus on contemporary dancing now though so even tho im going to try and practice the belly dancing thing, imma still use this incorporated in my "style" because its my childhood dance💕

I’m from Samoa, but recently have moved away. I want to reconnect with my roots and I got sick of watching ote’a videos without actually doing it lol. The nostalgia is unreal. I remember watching my sister’s school ote’a and practicing with her after school. This feels like home. Love the tutorial! ❤
