Tom Garfield oversaw a culture of abuse, predation, and cover-up at the Logos School. And he was fired for inappropriate conduct.

Your ideologies strongly reflect elements of white privilege. I agree that immorality must be confronted and eradicated, and I share the belief that the government is advancing a demonic agenda concerning sex and sexuality. However, you seem to be in denial about several critical issues. President-elect Donald Trump received endorsements from groups like the KKK and the Taliban. Additionally, your understanding of racism and the origins of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives appears shallow. The church often focuses on certain sins while ignoring others, perpetuating a selective morality. It is time to stop ignoring the pain of many by solely championing anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ agendas. Instead, demonstrate grace and love while standing firmly against all sin-or remain silent.

Absolutely on point here with education around the world. Even if you’re at an elite school in fascinating countries around the world (we did in Germany) they are still excluding Jesus. Bible-based reasoning is a part of algebra, english, geometry, geography…all of it is a part of first a mindset of God over all.

We’ve been following Charlie Kirk for years and love what God is doing through him. We have supported TP Academy, referring churches - one that adopted 5 C at their new school! Praying more will come. We switched our daughter this year from a private school here in Orlando area to VSA! Every class starts with prayer. ❤

As a Straight White lifelong Christian Male boomer myself, like many of my kind now leaving the Christian right in droves, recognize the damage you all are doing to Christianity, and also America. THAT’S why so many of us Christians are not voting Republican, because the Christian right has turned its back on Christ a long time ago. You all make a mockery of Christianity. You’re in pursuit of money and power now, NOT Christ. You sit up here and say some BS like “Communism is against 2 of the 10 Commandments”!? Really!? Worried about the 10 Commandments…are youse!? Well what about “Thou Shalt Not Lie”? Cuz that’s all I hear outta so called ‘Christians’ on the right nowadays. ‘Haitians are eating people’s pets’ just to name just one of the more recent lies outta many. I’m sure Jesus would’ve really friggin loved that one…huh!? Demonizing a group of people who are already struggling, based on nothing but lies, for political gain. There’s ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Christlike left about the ‘Christian’ right anymore. It’s just a bunch’a preachers preaching about Trump, more than they do Jesus. False prophets making prophecies about Trump, that continuously fail. Bigots spewing hate, Conmen and grifters scamming the gullible, selling NFTs and Trump coins and sh!t. Anti vaxers hawking ‘alternative medicine’. Conspiracy theorists, making up wacky conspiracies. Conservative ‘journalists’🙄 pushing Russian state paid propaganda (600+ of them). Heck!, there’s even black nazi anti Trans pastors who ‘loves trans porn’, like Mark Robinson now!? It’s a friggin mess!!! The ‘Christian’ right has morphed into a pathetically weird mix of, Christianity meets Dungeons and Dragons, and WWE presents ‘Ultimate Televangelist Wrestling’, with a little bit of cartoonishly ridiculous dangerous fascism sprinkled in. So you’ll spare us the whole ‘pArTy oF gOd’ act…ok!? Heck!, even the atheists on the Left are more Christlike than the ‘Christian’ right nowadays.

So basically Eric's strategy is to go on the offensive with 'Creation science" when witnessing to someone who doesn't know much about scientific issues, whereas if he's arguing with someone who knows more than he does on any topic then he reverts to the solipsism of presuppositionalism. Noice.
@frosted10303 ай бұрын
You can't have any scientific evidence for creationism.. it's not a scientific concept and has no model. Really, you people have not even taken a basic intro to science in college and expect to school others? Shut up.

Evolution does not give glory to God. There is no way he would use evolution as a means of creation for that reason alone. The fact that even a million years is not falsifiable makes the old earth hypothesis null.

By the way, if we read Matthew 24:34-36 we see, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So, you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." This is saying, when we see the things mentioned in the Olivet Discourse start happening, THAT generation will not pass until all is fulfilled.

I understand what you are saying about "fundamentalist" groups not preparing children for the adult world in which they are going to come across many bad ideas. How do you mitigate the risk on the other side of secularizing them? As I saw those who were too sheltered struggle in adult life, I saw some who were overexposed (even though it was from a Christian perspective) and had the same struggles. What is the guiding principle(s) you use to for helping to protect from this? (And yes, I understand you can't guarantee it either way).
@VeritasPress18 ай бұрын
Hi Natalie! So sorry we're just seeing your question. We'll get back to you soon with an answer!
@VeritasPress18 ай бұрын
There is risk in anything. There is risk in exposing our children to unbiblical ideas such as those found in anti-Christian works such as Darwin, Nietzsche, or other enemies of the Gospel. There is even risk in secular works that borrow from the Christian faith or biblical truth like Homer or Virgil. In the former they are trying to tear down what we believe. In the later they are commonly-not always-missing core elements of redemptive truth. But, in both cases we are dealing with elements of life that our children will encounter at some point. We simply believe it best that their first encounter be guided by teachers and parents through the lens of Scripture.

It was first published in 2005 and has been in use ever since! We have every level of Omnibus taught through our live online classes to thousands of students over the years, and hundreds of private schools use this book in their classrooms. Homeschoolers also opt to do this at home. We are now on the 3rd edition.

Amazing lady! Exactly what we love to hear from…a lady with children whom she has a vision for their future with the critical aspect of teaching Jesus in all things and for all things. Kids matter. Moms matter. Dads who support those moms and kids matter. Families matter. And pure religion is to help orphans and widows…those are truly the ones on the short end of the stick in life if they don’t get tangible help.

Recently I was told that American Sign Language has been recognized as fulfilling foreign language study requirements. Though I appreciate ASL, I wonder if it has the same place as Latin, Greek, or another modern foreign language in classical education. Thoughts?
@VeritasPress18 ай бұрын
While many places do count ASL as a foreign language credit, we currently do not at VSA. We believe learning the written and spoken grammar, word pronunciation, and culture of countries outside of the US to be of immense benefit to students. If you'd like to learn more about our thoughts on students learning a foreign language, we recently did a seminar on modern foreign language learning here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKa8g4mbdpKLpa8
