This game is hidden gem. Extremely good world and lore, the gameplay is great. The bosses are good in general, the fashion is the best in the genre by far.

Graphics in this game really are amazing

bought the game at release. it's basically Souls for those that have never played a Souls game. Visually pretty good but the bugs and the core mechanics made the game damn near unplayable. I do know that it has gotten a ton of updates over the last year and maybe it's playable now. But when i played it, Mediocre level design although they do interconnect rather well. NPC side quests are a a pain in the neck. Worst bosses of any souls-like. Most of them have like 3 moves and they cycle between those. There hasn't been a single boss that made me go "that was an amazing fight and i wanna do it again". not one. Combat is janky af, rolling is laughable, and dont get me started on the lock on and the camera. That comes into play especially when most encounters are gank fights. multiple boss encounters are basically gank fights and the camera has no idea what to do. the player always feels "heavy" and the momentum makes you slow as hell and i am running a light build. Animation cancel doesnt exist so good luck casting a spell during a clutch fight. can't run and heal, in fact if you wanna heal you are gonna go into a slow walk. good luck. Actually appalling that someone at the dev looked at the product and said "yeah lets ship this".

I struggled a lot with the enjoyment of this game. The enemy placement and movement just feels more malicious than challenging. I'm glad you enjoy the game, but I never felt like my progress was being rewarded. (also the quests are so bad)

Playing NG+ on lethal against the six blades of kojiro was a challenge mentally and spiritually I don’t know how i pulled it off but I did and I feel so proud
