Adjusting the stuff to exactly the same on different hardware does not mean one sounds better. The TR-8s if tuned can sound just as good if you know how, but I get that some people want that authentic out of the box sound without much tuning.
@RobertoFigus11 күн бұрын
Sorry, but the TR-8S will never sound better simply because the sound of the Roland TR 909 is a mix of analog and digital identical as the Din Sync RE-909, I also add that if you compare two Roland TR-909 they will not sound the same. However I respect your opinion :)
@markszili257711 күн бұрын
@@RobertoFigus The word "better" is subjective to the listener, I never said the TR-8s was better, I said just as good. I can take lossless samples of all the TR-909s and RE-909s I can find, and put them in the TR-8s for playback and further tweaking. Only reason I would buy a TR-909 in 2024 would be for bragging rights and to keep in a personal museum if I got rich. If Roland don't want to make a new one, I'm not going to go off brand for an over priced copy.

@@markszili2577 Many like me are looking for the closest sound of the TR-909 and currently it is the RE-909 because it is a replica and not a clone, but this is a question of a search for the original sound, those like me can be defined as NERD :) Unfortunately buying a TR-909 is too expensive, but you can have 99% of the same sound with the RE-909! Everyone chooses what they think is best for them. As you will have seen in my video I have the TR-8S, TR-09, RD-9 and the RE-909, because I have always looked for the most authentic sound of the TR-909.
@markszili25779 күн бұрын
@@RobertoFigus Have you used the TREditor app for the TR-8s, with a bit of sweat and tears I reckon it would get close to 99% with the internal synth engin. I mean that thing can be tweaked to make 303 squelches.

Thanks, if you want to have a 99% identical sound to the 808 / 909 I recommend the RE-808 and RE-909, they are replicas and not clones :) If it's a question of money in this case I understand you and the Behringer may be fine, but you will never have the identical sound of the Roland.
