@@itsmeme8287 I honestly do not, auto world conversions just closed. And most shops that take on these types of extensive projects are a one of one type of conversion. Do lots of research, make a detailed parts list and start tearing into it, if anything find someone to build you a set of motor mounts and do the rest yourself!

The engine is built early 1999, but in all honesty if I were to do it again I’d go with a common rail 3.9 and do a front gear train conversion on it

Probably torque-e-er (no real spelling, lol) than the 5.4 2V. How's the top end on the highway? You pretty much have unlimited power with the 4bt. Where did you find the donor block at? I work for Cummins, so this is one of those projects that I have customers come in with that always intrigues me.

What year truck? And these particular gauges are discontinued so you’d have to find a set somewhere. Either online or in a junkyard truck

290hp as of right now still, speed wise I’ve never tested it to see where it tops out and as far as the adapter plate goes, it’s from Destroked and it’s their 6bt to 4r100 gas adapter

There’s guys out there going years back selling diesel swapped newer Pickups and SUV’s with a lift and rims for nearly six figures. Remember there’s 16 million millionaires and they’re very bored with what you can order off a dealer lot. If you regularly upload tons of videos with each of your finished projects and skip over the boring small details you will gain a bigger following. It is statistically guaranteed you will have rich people watching your videos.

That’s such a nice truck. Good job man I’d love to drive that every day. For the air filter you can try 2 smaller ones to fill up the space better and have more surface area for less restriction.

To put it in a little perspective the truck has a 25 gallon tank and I drove from Anoka, MN to Brownsburg, IN on 1 tank doing a pretty consistent 75-80 mph, not loaded though obviously

Yes I did use the stock trans and it has been built. But I’ve gone through 3 of them and now just to get me by I had to reinstall the original 4r70w trans. I have a 4r100 that I’m building now to have that installed instead.

That's pretty damn impressive. I have an 03' and I love the modest Torque it possesses @ the low end and it rarely sees over 4,000 RPM with regular oil changes, which is why I am @ 261,008 miles. Most of these 4.6 and 5.4 2 valves, when spark plugs are torqued properly, will see 250,000 to 275,000 miles for sure.

Being honest, with how tuned it is I get mid to high 20’s. Let’s just say on one tank I can make it from Minneapolis to Indianapolis, that’s on a full 25 gallon tank doing 80mph at about 2500-2800rpm but don’t quote me on rpm lol

As far as engine sensors and things like that did they bolt up to the 4 bt or did you have to swap computer and harness

All 5.4 sensors for dash gauges were moved to the 4bt, I made a custom harness for the 4bt out of the original 5.4 harness and it just plugs right in so the dash and engine talk to each other. No computer swapping

Awesome build. going to be doing the same build and was wondering if you had any issues with the ECM looking for the 5.4 fuel injection and did it throw any codes and engine light issues? also does your cruise control work?

The ecm will always be looking for fuel injection but I pulled the engine light from the cluster and put it in the air suspension hole lol so yes there is an abundance of faults but nothing that bothers anything from operating as it should. The cruise is just a decent cable away from being operational

In the end the truck is still a half ton so putting a motor that came out of a one ton truck in a half ton chassis didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Now do like an international DT360 swap in like an 08-10 F350 now that would be awesome!

Matt Woody actually no, the truck is very tolerable, the only time it can be louder than average is at idle. Otherwise it is comfortable.
