How did you attach the prodex to the metal Quonset?
@tomkammerzell813920 күн бұрын
We have installed this product in our cabin and in our house. It is remarkable. Keeps the heat in during the winter and heat out during the summer. I too was skeptical, but after using it I am a believer. Bonus, because of the aluminum skin on both sides it also works as a fire barrier. Helped us with insurance. Again, just my opion but ours has been installed for about 8 years.

Don't waste your time, the cost of shipping is a game changer. My product estimate was $722 and shipping was $503. Shipping is charged per roll, so multiples don't appear to earn a discount only more shipping charges. Find another product unless you live near their one warehouse.

For an installation video…it leaves a lot out… Are they using a heat gun? If so, what is being heated? How does this adhere to the roof? How does this adhere to anything? I have so many questions.

Seems kind of hard to do from a lift or roof panel as you install.

I am considering the same thing on a 45x35 shop. Treating it like batt insulation. using the R-Panel to secure it, installing it vertically. Did you end up going with this product?

Robert, your place looks great. But how is the insulation fastened? I assume you have something mounted to the metal to hold the insulation? I don’t not see bands across the top of the metal ribs… any tips you could share would be great

Hello. Your Q-Hut looks great! I have a 35x60 Q-hut up in Northern AZ. Gets well below freezing in winter and highs in the 80s-90s in summer. Which side do you put facing out? How did you attach? Did you use battens? Is it air tight? Do you have pics or videos of it before/during installation? Thanks for your time. Chris

Also I went looking around to see if your claims of a high R-value was true. Because it seems impossible for such a thin material to have such a high R-value. I wanted to hear from the critics, the haters, the enemies of this product. What I found was this ...... ***Exaggerated R-value claims Since the main benefit from foil-faced bubble wrap is due to its radiant-barrier facing, the product is basically worthless unless it faces an air space.*** Since most buildings are made from studs, 2x4's or 2x6's or better, then we have the air space. So if that is all we need to make this a high R-value then it is a home run.
